Island Base Shimamiは、島浦の暮らしに近い場所で泊まれる小規模宿です。元民宿の建物を一部改装し、2026年3月に開業しました。船で島へ渡り、漁港や路地を歩いてから共用キッチンのある宿へ戻る、徒歩中心の滞在を組み立てられます。

相部屋と個室、設備を選ぶ
ドミトリーは二段ベッド2台を置く男女共用4名室で、家族やグループで貸し切る使い方もできます。ツインはシングルベッド2台の個室で、部屋によって仕様が異なり部屋指定はできません。キッチン、2室のシャワー、各階のトイレは共用です。個室を選んだ場合も水回りは共用になるため、部屋の使い方と設備の距離を意識して選べます。
素泊まりと二食付きの料金
1人1泊の最低料金は、素泊まりがドミトリー5000円～、ツイン7500円～、朝夕2食付きは9000円～、11500円～です。時期によって宿泊料金は変わります。食事付きの夕食は徒歩1分のShimami食堂で地元の魚料理などを楽しみ、火曜は牛すじカレーとなります。飲物は別精算。朝食の鯵の開きは、自分で焼くスタイルです。
キッチンの道具と持参するもの
チェックインは16時～19時30分、チェックアウトは10時です。共用キッチンには冷蔵庫、電子レンジ、電気ケトル、IHコンロ、調理器具があり、島で調達した食材を使えます。無料Wi-Fi、エアコン、有料の洗濯乾燥設備も備えます。大小タオル、歯ブラシ、剃刀、シャンプー類、ドライヤーは用意されますが、パジャマはありません。館内禁煙。事前に荷物を送る場合は1週間以上前に相談し、時間指定の配送が条件です。
高速艇の乗場と欠航時の扱い
車は浦城港の無料駐車場に置き、高速艇で約10分、下船して左へ進むと徒歩約2分です。延岡駅からは宮野浦方面のバスで浦城港まで約30分。乗船券は浦城の窓口で現金購入します。フェリーは到着する港が異なるため、宿への案内は高速艇利用です。天候やトラブルで浦城からの船が欠航し島へ渡れない場合、宿泊のキャンセル料はかかりません。

Island Base Shimami is a small base for experiencing daily life on Shimanoura. It opened in March 2026 after part of a former guesthouse was renovated. Arrive by boat, explore the harbour and lanes on foot, then return to accommodation with a shared kitchen.

Choose shared or private sleeping space
The mixed dormitory has two bunk beds for four guests and can also be taken by a family or group. Private twins contain two single beds; specifications vary and individual rooms cannot be selected. The kitchen, two showers and a toilet on each floor are shared, including for twin-room guests. Choose sleeping privacy with those shared facilities in mind.
Room-only and two-meal rates
Minimum per-person nightly rates are ¥5,000 in the dormitory or ¥7,500 in a twin for room-only stays; breakfast and dinner start at ¥9,000/¥11,500. Rates vary by season. Dinner is at Shimami Shokudo a minute away, with local fish dishes among the options; Tuesdays serve beef-tendon curry. Drinks are paid separately. Breakfast includes dried horse mackerel that guests grill themselves.
Kitchen equipment and what to pack
Check-in is 16:00–19:30 and check-out 10:00. The shared kitchen has a refrigerator, microwave, kettle, induction hob and utensils for preparing ingredients bought on the island. Free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and paid laundry facilities support longer stays. Towels, toothbrushes, razors, toiletries and hair dryers are supplied, but bring sleepwear. The building is nonsmoking. To send luggage ahead, arrange it at least a week beforehand and use a timed delivery.
Fast-boat access and cancellations
Leave your car in the free parking at Urashiro and take the roughly ten-minute fast boat. Turn left after disembarking for a two-minute walk. A bus towards Miyanoura takes about thirty minutes from Nobeoka Station to Urashiro Port. Buy boat tickets there with cash. The car ferry arrives at a different port, so the accommodation’s directions specify the fast boat. No accommodation cancellation fee applies if weather or a service problem cancels the crossing and prevents access to the island.
