Rooms in Honmachi and arrival arrangements
The 207 rooms include singles, semi-double/doubles and twins. Singles measure twelve square metres with a 140-centimetre-wide bed. Comfort singles have the same floor area, with differences including free VOD film viewing. Rooms provide Wi-Fi and humidifying air purifiers. Check-in begins at 15:00 and checkout is 10:00. The entrance locks at midnight; use the intercom afterwards. As of October 17, 2026, telephone/front-desk accommodation bookings may be unavailable; use internet booking. Ponta/d points cannot currently be redeemed, and points will be awarded after restoration.
Separate artificial hot-spring baths
Tabibito no Yu has separate men’s and women’s baths without alternating access. It uses an artificial radium bath additive, rather than a natural spring source. Hours are 15:00–02:00 and 05:00–10:00, allowing bathing after dinner or before departure. A dedicated key is provided for the women’s area. There is a closed interval between the evening and morning sessions, so bathing before 05:00 is unavailable. Fit a communal-bath visit or a bath in the room around the day’s activities.
Guest breakfast and regional dishes
Hanachaya serves complimentary guest breakfast 06:30–09:00. The Japanese and Western buffet introduces regional items on a rotating basis, including chikuwa salad, dago-jiru dumpling soup, karashi-renkon, takana rice and taipien. This does not mean every speciality is served together every morning. Bread and rice options allow a lighter or fuller meal before sightseeing. External breakfast use ended in February 2025, so the restaurant is not available as a breakfast venue for non-staying visitors.
Surface parking and EV reservations
At 1-1-5 Honmachi, the hotel is around five minutes by car from Yatsushiro Station, ten from Shin-Yatsushiro Station or eight from Yatsushiro Interchange. The 87 main and eight second-area surface spaces are first come at ¥500 per vehicle per night; nearby parking is offered when full. Guests may reserve EV charging online or by telephone, limited to one vehicle per person per day for 15:00–10:00. Non-guests can use it first come on days without guest reservations. Ask reception to unlock the charging equipment.
