赤塚1-1の5階建て、北口広場とは別
駅北側の赤塚1-1にある地上5階の自走式駐車場で、521台、うち身障者用10台を収容します。車で各階の区画へ進む構造です。赤塚1-3の北口広場駐車場は10台の別施設で、こちらの521台の台数や上限料金を広場側へ当てはめることはできません。電車利用に合わせて長めに停める場合は、北口駐車場の住所を目的地にできます。
30分無料、24時間ごとの上限500円
料金は30分まで無料、1時間まで200円、その後30分ごと100円です。計算例は1時間200円、2時間400円、2時間30分500円で、それ以後は24時間ごとの上限500円が基準になります。送迎だけの短い駐車と、列車で出かける長い駐車を分けて比較できます。上限は24時間ごとのため、複数日にわたる駐車は利用期間に応じて料金が積み重なります。
24時間の入出庫と定期受付の休止
入出庫は24時間可能です。帰りの電車が夕方や夜になる日も、駐車場の夜間閉鎖時刻に合わせず利用できます。2026年11月現在、定期駐車の利用申込は休止され、再開時は改めて告知する案内です。これは月額契約の新規受付に関する条件で、時間貸し駐車の24時間利用とは区別できます。駅周辺へ来る回数と停める時間に応じて使い方を選べます。
プリペイドカードで対象市営駐車場へ
赤塚駅北口駐車場は、市の駐車利用券とプリペイドカードの対象です。プリペイドは3,000円で3,300円分、5,000円で5,500円分が使え、赤塚駅北口の管理事務所で販売しています。本町や内原駅北口広場など対象駐車場で共用できますが、定期駐車料金には使えません。1回だけの駐車と、複数の市営駐車場を使う旅では支払い方を比較できます。
水戸市内で組み合わせる訪問先
七ツ洞公園や森林公園、内原の訪問先へは、駅周辺の徒歩散策とは別に車やバスの移動時間を取ります。花苑の門が開く時刻やカフェの定休日、宿での食事に合わせて回れます。ここに挙げる駐車場は市内移動の選択肢で、各施設の専用駐車場とは利用目的が異なります。内原駅前の短時間料金と赤塚の上限料金も行程に合わせて選べます。

Five levels at Akatsuka 1-1, separate from the square
The five-level self-drive building at 1-1 Akatsuka holds 521 vehicles, including ten accessible bays. Drivers proceed to spaces on the different levels. North Square Parking at 1-3 Akatsuka is a separate ten-space facility: the larger car park’s capacity and capped tariff do not apply to the square. For a longer stay around a rail journey, use the address of this North Parking building as the destination.
Thirty minutes free and a ¥500 twenty-four-hour cap
Parking is free through thirty minutes, ¥200 through one hour and ¥100 per thirty minutes thereafter. Calculated examples are ¥200 for one hour, ¥400 for two hours and ¥500 for two and a half hours, after which the ¥500 cap governs that twenty-four-hour period. Compare a brief pickup with a longer train journey. The cap repeats per twenty-four hours, so a multi-day stay accumulates charges according to duration.
Twenty-four-hour access and suspended monthly applications
Entry and exit remain available twenty-four hours, useful when the return train arrives in the evening or at night. As of November 2026, applications for monthly parking are suspended, with a further announcement promised when they resume. This concerns new monthly contracts and is distinct from the listed twenty-four-hour time-based parking. Select the arrangement around how often and how long the vehicle will be parked.
Prepaid cards for eligible municipal parking
This car park accepts the city’s parking vouchers and prepaid cards. Cards give ¥3,300 of credit for ¥3,000 or ¥5,500 for ¥5,000 and are sold at the Akatsuka Station North office. They can be shared across eligible car parks such as Honcho and Uchihara North Square, but cannot pay monthly-parking charges. Compare ordinary payment for a single stay with a prepaid card when visiting several municipal facilities.
Other stops to combine within Mito
Visits to Nanatsudo Park, the forest park and Uchihara need driving or bus time beyond a station-area walk. Coordinate flower-garden gates, café closing days and hotel meals. The listed car parks are options for journeys within the city, with a different purpose from each attraction’s own parking.
