水戸駅南パーキングは、水戸市駐車場公社が運営する駅南側の駐車場です。電車で移動する日と駅ビルで買い物をする日で使い分けられ、時間料金と24時間ごとの上限があります。駅前広場の小規模な送迎用駐車場とは別の256台の施設です。

駅南の公社駐車場、屋外と2階部分
宮町1-108-2、水戸駅南口近くの自走式駐車場です。屋外平面と2階部分があり、256台のうち2台が身障者用区画です。24時間営業・年中無休。電車で市外へ出かける日や、駅周辺で食事と買い物をまとめる日に使えます。車両は長さ5m、幅2m、高さ2.2m、重量2tまでの制限があり、車の寸法と積載を含めて利用を選べます。
30分100円と24時間ごとの上限
入庫から30分ごと100円で、24時間ごとの最大料金は平日800円、土日祝1,000円です。買い物で短く停める場合は時間料金、列車利用など長く停める場合は上限を基準に比較できます。現金に加えクレジットカード、交通系電子マネー、各種コード決済に対応。1万円札と5千円札は使えない案内があるため、現金なら千円札以下を用意できます。
駅ビルの提携サービスはレシート認証
エクセルとエクセルみなみの買い物合計が1,000円以上で1時間、5,000円以上で2時間、1万円以上で最大3時間のサービスがあります。対象店の当日QRコード付きレシートを駐車サービス割引認証機で読み取ります。別の駅ビル駐車場とは金額設定が異なり、対象外の店もあります。以前のエクセル専用駐車サービス券は2024年3月末で利用終了しています。
二輪車の受付時間と定期申込停止
125ccを超える自動二輪車は、係員対応の9～13時・14～18時に前払いで利用し、1日1回500円です。車の24時間入出庫と二輪の受付時間は同じではありません。2026年11月現在、定期駐車は満車のため申込受付停止中ですが、時間貸し駐車の案内は継続しています。
水戸市内で組み合わせる訪問先
偕楽園・歴史館と千波湖の周辺では、庭園の見学と湖畔の食事を組み合わせられます。宿や飲食店の専用駐車場と一般利用の駐車場は利用目的が異なり、訪問先ごとに車を停める場所を選べます。駅前の店へ移動する場合も、宿の到着時刻、飲食の注文終了、駐車料金を合わせて一日の予定を組めます。
Mito Station South Parking is operated by the city parking corporation. It supports a rail journey or shopping in the station building, combining a time-based tariff with a cap for each twenty-four-hour period. This 256-space facility is separate from the smaller station-front pickup car park.

The corporation’s south-side car park
At 1-108-2 Miyamachi near Mito Station’s south exit, this self-drive car park combines open surface spaces and a second level. Two of its 256 bays are accessible spaces. It operates twenty-four hours every day, fitting rail trips or a meal and shopping near the station. Vehicle limits are 5m long, 2m wide, 2.2m high and 2t, relevant when choosing a space for the car and its load.
Thirty-minute charges and the 24-hour cap
The rate is ¥100 per thirty minutes from entry. Each twenty-four-hour period is capped at ¥800 on weekdays or ¥1,000 on weekends and public holidays. Compare the time tariff for a short shopping visit with the cap for a longer rail journey. Payment accepts cash, cards, transport e-money and several QR systems. ¥10,000 and ¥5,000 notes are excluded, so use ¥1,000 notes or smaller denominations when paying cash.
Validate receipts for station-building discounts
Eligible purchases across Excel and Excel Minami give one hour with ¥1,000, two hours with ¥5,000 or up to three hours with ¥10,000. Scan same-day QR-coded receipts at the parking-discount validation machine. Purchase thresholds differ from other station-building car parks, and some shops are excluded. The former Excel-only service tickets for this car park ceased to be valid at the end of March 2024.
Motorcycle staffing hours and monthly applications
Motorcycles over 125cc are accepted during staffed hours, 9:00–13:00 and 14:00–18:00, for a prepaid ¥500 per entry/day. This reception window differs from twenty-four-hour car access. Monthly-parking applications are suspended as full in November 2026, while time-based parking remains listed.
Other stops to combine within Mito
Around Kairakuen, the history museum and Lake Senba, combine garden visits with lakeside meals. Hotel and restaurant parking serves a different purpose from general public parking, so choose a parking place for each destination. When continuing to station-side dining, coordinate hotel arrival, food last orders and parking charges across the day.
