花巻駅南第1駐車場は、花巻駅と駅前施設を利用する人向けの市営駐車場です。なはんプラザ東側に60台分を備え、短い迎えの待機から鉄道に乗る日の駐車まで利用できます。最初の1時間が無料ですが、その後は入庫からの経過時間で料金が段階的に変わります。

なはんプラザ東側の第1駐車場
花巻駅南の市営駐車場は2か所に分かれ、第1はなはんプラザ東側に60台、第2は南側に121台あります。この記事の対象は東側の第1です。位置図では南辺に出入口を設け、入口と出口が分かれます。駅前の施設へ寄る時は、駐車した区画を覚えておくと戻る場所を確認しやすくなります。なはんプラザそのものの施設利用予約と、一般車の時間貸し駐車は別で、駅利用だけの日も駐車できます。
1時間無料と入庫からの段階料金
入庫から1時間まで無料、3時間まで100円、8時間まで300円、12時間まで500円、24時間まで600円です。無料1時間を引いた後に毎時料金を計算する方式ではなく、入庫からの総利用時間を表に当てはめます。例えば2時間なら100円、6時間なら300円、10時間なら500円です。送迎の短い待機と、半日・一日の外出で料金を見積もれます。駅前ロータリーで駐車して待つ代わりに利用できる場所です。
24時間を超える利用と終日の出庫
24時間を超えると、その後12時間までごとに300円が加算されます。36時間まで900円、48時間まで1,200円の計算です。毎日0時に600円へ切り替わる日付単位の料金ではありません。出入りを含め終日利用できるため、鉄道で遅く戻る予定にも使えます。長い外出では入庫時刻から帰着時刻までを数え、最初の24時間と追加12時間の区切りで予算を組むと、翌日の利用料金を見通せます。
支払方法と回数券、ロータリーの区別
現金のほか、Suicaなど交通系電子マネー（PiTaPa除く）、iD・楽天Edy・WAON・nanaco・QUICPay、主要カード、PayPayなどのコード決済に対応します。なはんプラザ窓口では100円券11枚つづりを1,000円で販売しています。駅前ロータリー内は駐車できないため、迎えで待つ一般車も南駐車場へ入ります。所在地は大通り一丁目地内。短い待機でも車路やロータリーをふさがず、区画内で待ち合わせできます。

Parking1 east of Nahan Plaza
Hanamaki Station’s municipal south parking is split between Parking1, sixty spaces east of Nahan Plaza, and Parking2,121 spaces to its south. This article covers the eastern Parking1. The official map shows separate entry and exit on its southern edge. Note which area you use before walking to nearby facilities. Reserving a room in Nahan Plaza and using general time-based parking are separate matters; railway users can park without booking a Plaza facility.
One hour free and stepped elapsed-time charges
The first hour from entry is free, with totals of ¥100 up to3h, ¥300 up to8h, ¥500 up to12h and ¥600 up to24h. Apply the total elapsed duration to these bands rather than deducting the free hour and adding an hourly charge. For example, two hours costs ¥100, six hours ¥300 and ten hours ¥500. Estimate the cost for a brief pickup wait, half-day outing or full day. Use the car park instead of waiting parked in the station rotary.
Stays beyond24h and round-the-clock exit
Beyond24h, add ¥300 for each further period of up to12h. This gives ¥900 up to36h and ¥1,200 up to48h. The charge does not reset to a new calendar-day rate at midnight. Entry and exit are possible around the clock, including after a late train. For a longer trip, count from the actual entry time to your expected return, separating the first24h from additional12h bands when budgeting.
Payments, coupon tickets and the station rotary
Payment includes cash, transit IC such as Suica except PiTaPa, iD, Rakuten Edy, WAON, nanaco, QUICPay, major credit cards and codes such as PayPay. Nahan Plaza sells books of eleven ¥100 coupons for ¥1,000. Parking is prohibited inside the station rotary, so general vehicles waiting to collect passengers should enter the south parking area. Located in Odori1-chome, it provides marked spaces for meeting someone without obstructing the rotary or access roads.
