マルカンビル大食堂は、上町のビル6階にある展望食堂で、街並みを眺めながら食事ができます。かつての百貨店食堂の内装や食器、味を引き継いで2017年に再開しました。箸で食べる背の高いソフトクリームと、麺・洋食のボリュームある料理を、昼食や甘味の時間に組み合わせられます。

百貨店食堂から続く6階の眺め
1973年開業のマルカン百貨店は2016年6月に閉店しましたが、6階の食堂は2017年2月20日に再出発しました。550席を備え、窓際から市街地を眺められます。内装や食器、料理をできるだけ残す方針で、昔の大食堂らしい雰囲気を楽しめます。一般客の個人席予約は受け付けず、団体のみ電話相談となります。大型連休中は席予約を受け付けないため、複数人の昼食では混雑も含めて時間を取れます。
箸で食べるソフトとナポリかつ
名物ソフトクリームは10段巻きで380円。小さなコーンに細く高く載ったソフトを箸で食べる楽しみがあります。「マルカンラーメン」960円はピリ辛あんかけ、「ナポリかつ」1,300円はナポリタン、とんかつ、サラダのワンプレートです。食後にソフトを加える日も、洋食をしっかり食べる日も選べます。アレルゲン情報は6階レジ横にも置かれ、料理ごとの内容を確認して注文する際に使えます。
曜日別営業時間と年末年始
平日は11～15時30分、ラストオーダー15時。土日祝は11～18時30分、ラストオーダー18時で、水曜休です。テーブルのモバイル注文はPayPay・カード、有人レジは現金・PayPayに対応。年末年始は12月27～29日と1月2～3日が18時LO・18時30分閉、12月30日～1月1日と1月6日休、1月4～5日は16時LO・16時30分閉。12月27日～1月5日は宴会・席・リザーブメニューの予約を休止します。
提携駐車場と食事金額による割引
上町6-2、食堂はマルカンビル6階です。提携駐車場は8～20時が30分100円、20～8時は2時間100円・夜間最大400円。6階で1,500円利用するごとに100円の駐車サービス券、最大3枚まで発行します。駐車券や証明書を会計時に提示し、モバイル注文は支払画面をレジか係員に見せます。1階とのレシート合算はできません。上町駐車場の高さ制限は2.1m、マルカン立体1階は2.3mです。

The Marukan Building Restaurant occupies the sixth floor in Kamicho, overlooking Hanamaki’s streets. It reopened in 2017, retaining the former department-store dining hall’s interior, tableware and recipes. Combine its unusually tall soft serve, eaten with chopsticks, with substantial noodle or Western-style dishes for lunch or an afternoon sweet.

Sixth-floor views and the department-store dining hall
Marukan Department Store, opened in 1973, closed in June 2016; its sixth-floor restaurant returned on February 20, 2017. It has 550 seats and city views by the windows. A policy of retaining the interior, tableware and food preserves the older dining-hall atmosphere. Individual table reservations are not accepted; groups can discuss bookings by telephone. Seat reservations are unavailable during major holiday periods, so allow time for crowds when planning a group lunch.
Soft serve with chopsticks and Napori-katsu
The signature ¥380 soft serve has ten spiral turns, rising high and slender from a small cone and eaten with chopsticks. Marukan Ramen, ¥960, comes with a spicy thickened sauce. Napori-katsu, ¥1,300, combines Napolitan spaghetti, pork cutlet and salad on one plate. Choose a sweet after a meal or a substantial Western-style lunch. Allergen information is also placed beside the sixth-floor register, providing a reference for the individual dishes before ordering.
Regular hours and New Year arrangements
Weekdays operate 11:00–15:30, last orders15:00; weekends/holidays11:00–18:30, last orders18:00. Wednesdays are closed. Mobile ordering accepts PayPay/cards, staffed registers cash/PayPay. For New Year, December 27–29 and January 2–3 have LO18:00/close18:30; December 30–January 1 and January 6 are closed; January 4–5 have LO16:00/close16:30. Banquet, table and reserve-menu bookings pause December 27–January 5.
Partner parking and spending-based vouchers
The restaurant is on floor six at 6-2 Kamicho. Partner parking costs ¥100/30 minutes08:00–20:00, then ¥100/two hours20:00–08:00 with a ¥400 night cap. Sixth-floor spending earns one ¥100 voucher per ¥1,500, up to three. Present the parking ticket/proof at payment; mobile-order diners show their payment screen to a cashier or server. Receipts cannot be combined with first-floor purchases. Kamicho parking has a2.1-metre height limit; the first level of Marukan’s parking structure has a2.3-metre limit.
