新花巻駅周辺の西側有料駐車場には、第1の297台と第2の76台があります。ここは西第1です。「無料第2」「無料第3」と呼ばれる別区画もありますが、西第1の名称と無料駐車場の番号は同じ区分ではありません。西第1は最初の24時間が無料の時間貸し区画です。駅の西口側を利用する時に選べ、戻った際に車のある場所を探しやすいよう、区画名を覚えておけます。
入庫から24時間無料の使い方
入庫から24時間までは無料です。朝に車を置いて同日の夜に戻る旅や、翌朝でも24時間以内に戻る予定に使えます。無料時間は入庫時点から続く一度の24時間で、毎日無料枠を繰り返す方式ではありません。旅行が延びると以後12時間ごと200円が加わります。日帰り列車の時刻と車への帰着時刻を合わせると、無料範囲で使う日と、追加料金を払う外出を分けて考えられます。
36時間200円・48時間400円の計算
24時間を超えて36時間までは200円、48時間までは400円です。最初の24時間を差し引き、追加する12時間の区分で計算します。入出庫は終日利用できます。別の無料第2・第3は連続利用5日間まで、送迎用駐車場は1時間までと条件が異なります。長期間車を置く場合は、西第1の課金条件で予定を立てられます。通路や出入口は駐車スペースとして使わず、指定区画内へ停めます。

胡四王一丁目地内で、精算は現金、交通系IC（PiTaPaを除く）、iD・楽天Edy・WAON・nanaco・QUICPay、主要クレジットカード、PayPay・楽天ペイ・auPay・d払いなどのコード決済に対応します。無料時間を超えた時も選べる支払方法が複数あります。回数券は市役所新館3階都市政策課で100円券11枚1,000円。東側駐車場は6時間200円からなので、別の入口へ入る時は現地の駐車場名と料金を合わせて選べます。

The station’s western paid-parking system comprises Parking1 with297 spaces and Parking2 with76. This article covers West Parking1. Separate areas called Free Parking2 and Free Parking3 use another numbering system. West Parking1 is a time-based lot whose initial24h happens to be free. It is an option when using the station’s west side; remember the full lot name to locate your vehicle on returning.
Using the initial24h free period
Parking is free for the first24h after entry. This covers a morning-to-evening trip, or a return the following morning if still within24h. It is one initial free period, not a daily repeating allowance. An extended trip adds ¥200 for each subsequent12h period. Compare the return train and actual arrival back at the car to distinguish a stay within the free period from one incurring additional charges.
Calculating36h at ¥200 or48h at ¥400
A stay over24h and up to36h costs ¥200, or ¥400 up to48h. Subtract the initial24h, then apply the additional12h bands. Entry and exit are available around the clock. The separate free lots2/3 limit continuous use to five days, while pickup parking is limited to one hour. Plan a longer stay using West Parking1’s charging schedule. Park in designated spaces, keeping access roads and entrances clear.

Located in Koshio1-chome, the machines accept cash, transit IC except PiTaPa, iD, Rakuten Edy, WAON, nanaco, QUICPay, major cards and codes including PayPay, Rakuten Pay, au PAY and d-barai. These provide several payment options if your stay exceeds the free period. Coupon books cost ¥1,000 for eleven ¥100 tickets at the city Urban Policy Division, floor three of the new city-hall building. Eastern parking starts at ¥200/6h, so check the named area and rate when choosing an entrance.
