いわて花巻空港駐車場は、飛行機で出発する人やターミナルを訪れる人が利用する無料の駐車場です。第1～3の区画と、必要な時だけ開く臨時第4があります。無料でも入出庫は6～21時に限られ、長い旅行には届出が必要です。フライトと車を取り出す時刻を合わせて旅程を決められます。

第1～3と一般車が使えない区画
空港の駐車場は第1～3を合わせて1,150台規模で、旅客ターミナルの周辺に配置されています。2025年8月から第1駐車場北端の一部はレンタカーの保管・貸出・返却用となり、一般車は停められません。空いて見える場所でも専用表示を見て区画を選びます。車を置いた駐車場番号を覚えると、帰りにターミナルから戻る場所が分かります。県が第1～3の利用状況を配信するライブカメラもあります。
6～21時の入出庫と時間外の出場
車両の入出庫は毎日6～21時で、時間外は門扉を閉めて施錠します。ターミナルビルの通常開館7時15分～19時30分とは別の時間です。時間外の出場は空港事務所への連絡扱いですが、航空機利用者以外には対応しません。空港を見学して市内で夕食を済ませる日などは、21時までに車を出す予定が必要です。飛行機で戻る場合も、便の到着と手荷物の受取り後に車へ戻る時間を取れます。
7日を超える駐車の承認届
7日を超えて置く場合は、航空機を利用する人に限り、長期駐車の承認届を提出します。提出はターミナル2階南側の空港事務所分室への持参、ファクス、電子申請のいずれかです。用紙は分室にも用意しています。駐車予約は一切受け付けず、この届出でも駐車場所は確保されません。旅行の出発日と帰着日を確認し、7日を超える場合は届出を済ませた上で、空き区画を利用する形になります。
臨時第4は開放期間に限って利用
第4臨時駐車場は289区画へ拡大されていますが、繁忙期や混雑が見込まれる期間に限って開放されます。通常から必ず使える区画として予定せず、現地の開放案内に沿って進みます。所在地は東宮野目第2地割53。料金は無料ですが、レンタカー専用区画、入出庫時間、長期届の条件はそれぞれ別に適用されます。出発便に合わせて余裕を取り、車を停めてからターミナルまで移動する時間を確保できます。

Iwate Hanamaki Airport offers free parking for departing passengers and terminal visitors, with lots1–3 and a temporary fourth lot opened when needed. Free parking still has06:00–21:00 entry/exit hours, and longer journeys need a declaration. Match the flight schedule with the time you expect to retrieve the vehicle.

Lots1–3 and areas unavailable to general cars
The airport’s first three lots total about1,150 spaces around the terminal. Since August2025, part of lot1’s northern end has been reserved for rental-car storage, collection and return; general vehicles cannot park there. Check designated-use signs even when an area appears empty. Note the lot number to find your vehicle after returning through the terminal. A prefectural live camera shows the use of lots1–3, providing a view of conditions before arrival.
Entry/exit06:00–21:00 and after-hours retrieval
Vehicle entry and exit operate daily06:00–21:00, with locked gates outside these hours. This differs from the terminal’s usual07:15–19:30 opening. After-hours exit is handled through the airport office, but not for people who have not used a flight. Terminal visitors going elsewhere for dinner should retrieve their vehicles by21:00. Returning air passengers should allow time after landing and baggage collection to reach their parking area.
Declarations for parking longer than seven days
For a stay longer than seven days, only air passengers may submit the required long-parking declaration. Deliver it to the airport office branch on the south side of terminal floor2, send it by fax or use electronic application. Forms are also available at the branch. Parking reservations are not accepted, and the declaration does not secure a space. Check departure and return dates, complete the declaration for a longer stay, then use an available designated space on arrival.
Temporary lot4 operates only during announced periods
Temporary lot4 has been expanded to289 spaces but opens only for busy seasons or periods when congestion is expected. Do not rely on it as a permanently available area; follow current opening signs. The airport parking address is53 Higashimiyanome Dai-2-chiwari. Free pricing does not remove the separate rules for rental-car-only spaces, access hours or long-stay declarations. Arrive with time before the flight to find a space and walk to the terminal.
