Kashoen is a Hanamaki Onsen ryokan framed by red pines, the Daigawa River and a white-sand courtyard. A stay combines kaiseki dining, cypress outdoor baths and optional rooms with spring-fed baths. Plan arrival and bathing around scheduled cleaning, and reserve the shuttle before travelling.

和室と温泉付き客室、夕食の場所
標準和室のほか、露天・半露天風呂付きの客室などを用意しています。客室タイプにより、畳でくつろぐ滞在とベッドを使う滞在を選べます。夕食は季節の海の幸・山の幸を取り入れた会席料理で、ツイン・シングルルームを除いて部屋食です。標準客室の佳松園会席は1人税込30,800円からの参考料金が掲載され、日付・人数・部屋で変わります。食事の場所と風呂付き客室の有無を合わせて選ぶと、滞在の違いが分かります。
檜の露天風呂と曜日別清掃
内湯と檜露天風呂は13～翌11時で、深夜1～3時は清掃・消毒のため利用できません。通常の昼清掃は11～13時ですが、火曜は男性内湯・露天、木曜は女性内湯・露天が15時開始です。サウナは13～24時と5～10時。湯はナトリウム―硫酸塩・塩化物泉、pH8.9で、かけ流しと循環ろ過を併用し塩素系消毒を行います。浴場にタオルを用意しているため、部屋から大きな荷物を持たずに移動できます。
15時到着と中庭を眺める夜
チェックイン15～19時、チェックアウト11時。白砂の中庭は回廊に囲まれ、日暮れには篝火が灯ります。バー「赤松」は20～23時、ラストオーダー22時30分で、中庭を眺めて飲み物を楽しめます。売店は7時30分～11時と15～21時30分。エステは16～22時の事前予約制で、当日も空きがあれば利用できます。2026年10月1日から予約システムが変わり、旧会員も新システムで再登録が必要です。
駅送迎の予約と空港便の季節時刻
湯本1-125-2、花巻ICから車約5分、空港約15分、花巻・新花巻駅約20分です。両駅からの無料送迎は完全予約制で、予約がない便は運行しません。新花巻駅西口3番から15時・16時10分・17時15分発。水・土曜の空港発便は2026年10月28日～2027年3月27日の期間、17時30分です。無料駐車は花巻温泉全体で普通車600台・バス30台。カーナビは旅館名で設定すると入口へ向かいやすくなります。

Room choices and where dinner is served
Choose a standard Japanese room or a room with an outdoor or semi-outdoor bath, with bed-based options as well as tatami accommodation. Seasonal kaiseki uses seafood and mountain produce. Dinner is served in the room except for twin and single accommodation. The published reference price for a standard-room Kashoen Kaiseki stay starts at ¥30,800 per person including consumption tax; date, occupancy and room affect the price. Consider both meal location and the presence of a private bath when selecting accommodation.
Cypress outdoor baths and cleaning schedules
Indoor and cypress outdoor baths operate 13:00–11:00, closing 01:00–03:00 for cleaning and disinfection. Normal daytime cleaning is 11:00–13:00; men’s indoor/outdoor baths reopen at 15:00 on Tuesdays, women’s at 15:00 on Thursdays. Sauna hours are 13:00–24:00 and 05:00–10:00. The sodium sulphate/chloride spring has pH 8.9; flow-through water is combined with circulation/filtration and chlorine disinfection. Towels are provided at the bathing area, simplifying trips from the room.
Arrival and an evening beside the courtyard
Check-in is 15:00–19:00 and checkout 11:00. A corridor surrounds the white-sand courtyard, where braziers are lit at dusk. Bar Akamatsu opens 20:00–23:00, last orders 22:30, with courtyard views. The shop operates 07:30–11:00 and 15:00–21:30. Spa treatments run 16:00–22:00 by advance reservation, with same-day appointments subject to availability. A new reservation system began October 1, 2026; previous members need to register again in the new system.
Reserved station transfers and seasonal airport times
At 1-125-2 Yumoto, allow about five minutes from Hanamaki IC, fifteen from the airport or twenty from either station. Free station transfers require reservations; unreserved departures do not operate. Shin-Hanamaki west-exit stop 3 departures are 15:00, 16:10 and 17:15. The Wednesday/Saturday airport departure is 17:30 during October 28, 2026–March 27, 2027. Hanamaki Onsen’s shared free parking holds 600 cars and thirty buses.
