菊川町の庄屋風の駅舎に、特産品売場と食事処、観光案内を集めた道の駅の駐車場です。山陽側から山陰側へ走る途中の休憩に使え、車を止めてトイレや売場へ移動できます。駐車とトイレの利用時間は、売場や食事処の営業時間と別です。

山陽と山陰を結ぶ道中の休憩
国道491号沿い、菊川町大字上岡枝766-1にある道の駅です。小月ICから車で約7分、新下関駅から約25分の案内で、市街地から豊田方面へ向かう途中に立ち寄れます。駐車場とトイレは無料で24時間利用でき、売場の営業時間外にも道路利用者の休憩機能を備えています。
大型車、障害者用区画と充電
大型車5台と障害者用3台の区画があり、二輪車用の駐車スペースも設けています。EV急速充電設備は有料です。駐車料金が無料でも充電は別サービスになるため、充電器の利用方法と料金表示に従います。車種ごとに指定された区画へ止め、トイレや駅舎への通路を確保して利用します。
売場と食事処の時間を分ける
特産品売場は8時30分～17時、施設の休館日は12月31日・1月1日です。食事処「よもやま」は水曜定休で、平日10時30分～15時30分・OS15時、土日祝10時30分～16時・OS15時30分。菊川そうめんやアイガモなど地域の食材を使う料理があり、食事を目的にする日は駐車場の24時間利用と区別して到着時間を組みます。
特産品と周辺の観光案内
売場にはそうめんなどの麺類、はちみつや周辺の町の特産品が並び、案内所では地域の観光情報を扱います。トイレにはオストメイト対応設備があり、館内外の休憩と合わせて使えます。隣接する「小日本ふるさと市」は地元野菜を販売する別の売場で、道の駅の特産品売場と合わせた立ち寄り先になります。
下関市内で組み合わせる訪問先
下関市は唐戸や駅周辺の市街地から、長府、川棚、菊川、豊田、豊北へ広がります。地域間の移動時間を確保し、食事の営業日、宿の到着締切、施設の休館日を合わせて訪問先を選べます。駐車場は立ち寄る地域や施設の利用条件に応じて組み合わせます。
Parking serves a roadside station in a traditional village-headman-style building with local products, dining and visitor information. It is a rest stop between the Sanyo and Sanin sides of the region. Parking and toilet access have different hours from the shop and restaurant.

A stop between Sanyo and Sanin
The station is on Route 491 at 766-1 Kamiokaeda, Kikugawa-cho, around seven minutes by car from Ozuki IC or twenty-five from Shin-Shimonoseki Station. Stop between the urban area and Toyota. Free parking and toilets are available twenty-four hours, separately from retail opening hours.
Large vehicles, accessible bays and charging
There are five large-vehicle bays, three accessible bays and designated motorcycle areas. Rapid EV charging is chargeable even though ordinary parking is free. Follow the charger’s operating instructions and tariff, use the designated bay for the vehicle and keep routes to the toilets and building clear.
Separate shop and restaurant hours
The local-products shop opens 8:30–17:00, with the building closed December 31 and January 1. Yomoyama restaurant closes Wednesdays; weekdays run 10:30–15:30, last orders 15:00, and weekends and holidays 10:30–16:00, last orders 15:30. Dishes use local specialities such as Kikugawa somen and aigamo duck. Arrive during restaurant hours when planning a meal.
Local products and visitor information
The shop sells noodles including local somen, honey and products from neighbouring communities, while the information desk covers the area’s attractions. Toilets include ostomate facilities. The adjacent Konippon Furusato Market is a separate local-vegetable outlet that can be combined with a visit to the roadside station.
Other stops to combine within Shimonoseki
Shimonoseki extends from the station and Karato waterfront to Chofu, Kawatana, Kikugawa, Toyota and Hohoku. Allow travel time between districts and coordinate restaurant opening, accommodation arrival deadlines and attraction closures. Choose parking according to the district visited and each facility’s conditions.
