Inventions and the story of instant noodles
The Instant Noodles History Cube traces a global food culture through packaging. The Momofuku Theater, recreated research shed and exhibits about creative thinking add the inventor’s story. Admission is ¥500 for university students and older, free for high school students and younger; paid activities and food are separate. Eligible disability-certificate holders and one accompanying carer pay ¥400 each for admission. Plan time and budget around exhibits, workshops or both.
Tickets for My Cup Noodles Factory
At My Cup Noodles Factory, decorate a cup and choose one of four soups and four of twelve toppings. The activity costs ¥500 per cup, limited to one per person, and takes about 45 minutes. There is no age limit; companions can help young children. Same-day numbered tickets are first-come, first-served when slots remain. Limited combined advance tickets are sold until midnight the previous day, with no same-day advance sales. Dates, party size and ticket type cannot be changed; cancel and repurchase when needed.
Chicken Ramen making: school age and pairs
The approximately 70-minute Chicken Ramen workshop costs ¥600 for elementary students and ¥1,200 for junior high students and older, plus museum admission. Participants must be elementary-school age or older and work in pairs; solo bookings are unavailable. Grades 1–3 must pair with someone of junior-high age or older. Nonparticipants, including preschool children, cannot enter. Parties of up to 20 book online or by phone; 21+ book by phone, from 10:00 three months before the visit until 18:00 the previous day. Check the special opening rules when the booking-start date is a closed day or absent from the month.
The children’s park and family facilities
Cup Noodles Park on floor 4 is for children aged 3 through elementary school, at least 90 cm tall. A ¥500, 30-minute slot includes 25 minutes of play. Normal operation is 10:30–17:30, last reception 17:00. Preschoolers need a guardian; under-threes cannot enter even with a companion. Slippery or loose shoes are not allowed, and pregnant companions cannot enter. Nursing facilities, accessible toilets and elevators support family visits. Match each activity’s age and clothing rules to your party.
Tuesday closures and the November 23 exception
Normal hours are 10:00–18:00, last admission 17:00. Tuesdays are closed, or the next day when Tuesday is a public holiday. A notice issued October 26 announces a special closure on Monday November 23, 2026 for visiting participants in a school athletics event. Include that exception when checking the operating calendar for a holiday trip. Activity tickets can sell out, so consult the day’s crowding information when planning participation after entry.
Walking routes and the 40-space car park
Walk about 8 minutes from Minatomirai or Bashamichi stations, or 12 minutes from Sakuragicho. The 40-space car park opens 09:00–19:00, with no exit after 19:00 and no use on closed days. Show an admission ticket for the first hour free, then pay ¥250 per 30 minutes. Indicative limits are 3 m high, 1.9 m wide and 5.3 m long. Items too large for lockers, including large cases and strollers, cannot be stored. The museum lists credit-card acceptance only at the ground-floor shop and no electronic money, so prepare payment for on-site activities accordingly.
