霧島神話の里公園｜リフトとスライダー、山の眺めを楽しむ無料入園の公園

霧島神話の里公園は、霧島市霧島田口にある入園・駐車場無料の公園です。山の斜面を上るリフトやスーパースライダー、駐車場とクラブハウスを結ぶロードトレインなどを有料で利用でき、晴れた日には霧島の山々や錦江湾を望めます。道の駅霧島の食事・買い物と組み合わせて立ち寄れる場所です。

Kirishima Shinwa no Sato Park in Taguchi, Kirishima City, has free entry and parking. Paid attractions include a hillside lift, the Super Slider and a road train between the car park and clubhouse. In clear weather, views take in the Kirishima mountains and Kinko Bay. Combine the visit with food and shopping at the adjoining Kirishima roadside station.

1．無料で入園し、景色と遊具を選ぶ

霧島の斜面に広がる公園で、入園と駐車場の利用は無料です。晴天時にはリフトから霧島の山々、桜島、錦江湾を望め、景色を楽しむ散策と有料遊具を組み合わせられます。

園内の移動には坂があり、駐車場からクラブハウスの遊具券売り場まではロードトレインも運行しています。車窓を楽しみながら上る場合は約10分の移動です。

2．リフトとスーパースライダーの料金

遊覧リフトの往復は600円（税込）です。スーパースライダーは1人1回600円（税込）で、出発点までの上りリフト料金を含みます。景色を楽しむリフト往復と、滑り降りるスライダーでは利用する券が異なります。

スーパースライダーは4歳以上が対象で、小学2年生以下は大人と一緒に利用します。6歳未満は必ず保護者の同乗が必要です。小さい子どもと同乗する場合は1台に一緒に座り、係員の指示に従って滑ります。

3．ロードトレインと家族での移動

ロードトレイン「ポッポ号」は片道200円、往復400円（税込）で、3歳以下は無料です。駐車場からリフト乗り場のあるクラブハウスまでを結びます。

車いすやベビーカーで利用できるよう、スロープ付きの客車も連結されています。リフトやスーパースライダーなどの遊具は、天候や安全上の理由により運転を休止する場合があります。

4．レストランの時間・水曜休み・予約休止

道の駅霧島のレストランは11時～16時、ラストオーダー15時です。2026年6月から水曜が定休日となっています。公園の9時～17時とは利用時間が異なり、水曜休みはレストランに適用されます。

2026年10月からの掲載価格は、黒豚しゃぶ鍋定食2,100円、黒豚とんかつ定食1,980円、お子様ランチ980円で、いずれも税込です。レストランの予約受付は当面休止中です。

5．2026年11月15日の紅葉まつり

「きりしま紅葉まつり」は2026年11月15日（日）に開催予定です。午前の部は10時、午後の部は13時からで、九面太鼓の演奏やポン菓子、ねったぼの振る舞いなどが案内されています。

紅葉の見頃は天候に左右されます。公園からの遠景も雲や霧で見え方が変わるため、遊具で遊ぶ時間と食事を組み合わせると、眺望だけに頼らない過ごし方ができます。

6．霧島神宮駅からのアクセスと11月の列車運休

JR霧島神宮駅からはバス約20分、タクシー約15分が目安です。車では溝辺鹿児島空港ICから約25km・約40分で、公園の無料駐車場を利用できます。

2026年11月4・10・11・17・18・24・25日は、日豊本線の線路工事に伴い日中の一部列車が運休予定です。対象は宮崎～鹿児島中央の一部特急と都城～国分の一部普通列車で、代行輸送はありません。

1. Free entry, with scenery and attractions to choose from

Entry and parking are free at this hillside park in Kirishima. In clear weather, the lift offers views of the Kirishima mountains, Sakurajima and Kinko Bay, allowing a visit to combine scenery with paid attractions.

The hillside involves slopes. A road train links the car park with the clubhouse attraction-ticket counter, taking about 10 minutes for the uphill journey.

2. Lift and Super Slider prices

A return sightseeing lift ride costs ¥600 including tax. The Super Slider costs ¥600 per person per ride, including the uphill lift to its starting point. The return lift ride and the downhill slide are separate ticket choices.

The Super Slider is for ages 4 and older. Children in elementary grade 2 or below use it with an adult; children under 6 must ride with a parent. When sharing a sled with a young child, sit together on one sled and follow the attendant’s instructions.

3. Road train and family access

The Poppo road train costs ¥200 one way or ¥400 return including tax; children aged 3 or younger ride free. It connects the car park with the clubhouse beside the lift station.

A carriage with a ramp is attached for wheelchairs and strollers. Attractions such as the lift and Super Slider may suspend operation because of weather or safety conditions.

4. Restaurant hours, Wednesday closure and reservation pause

The restaurant at the Kirishima roadside station opens 11:00–16:00, with last orders at 15:00. It has closed on Wednesdays since June 2026. These hours differ from the park’s 09:00–17:00 hours, and the Wednesday closure applies to the restaurant.

Published prices from October 2026 include a kurobuta pork shabu-shabu set at ¥2,100, a kurobuta pork cutlet set at ¥1,980 and a children’s lunch at ¥980, all including tax. Restaurant reservations are paused until further notice.

5. Autumn festival scheduled for November 15, 2026

The Kirishima autumn foliage festival is scheduled for Sunday, November 15, 2026, with a morning session from 10:00 and an afternoon session from 13:00. Announced activities include Kumen-daiko drumming and servings of puffed rice and nettābo, a local sweet potato and rice-cake snack.

Autumn colour depends on the weather, and cloud or mist can change the distant views. Combining attractions and a meal offers ways to enjoy the visit alongside the scenery.

6. Access from Kirishima-Jingu Station and November train cancellations

Allow about 20 minutes by bus or 15 minutes by taxi from JR Kirishima-Jingu Station. By car, the park is approximately 25 km or 40 minutes from Mizobe-Kagoshima Airport Interchange, with free parking at the park.

On November 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24 and 25, 2026, track work is scheduled to cancel some daytime Nippo Line trains: selected limited expresses between Miyazaki and Kagoshima-Chuo, and selected local services between Miyakonojo and Kokubu. No replacement transport is provided.
