Matsue New Urban Hotel stands in Nishichamachi on the north side of Lake Shinji. Its main building, annex and Koyu accommodation offer different room arrangements, alongside natural hot-spring bathing and breakfast on the main building’s ninth floor. During the current annex facade and lobby renovations, check the booked building and arrival route carefully, especially if views or access by car matter to your stay.

本館・別館と眺望を区別して選ぶ

客室にはツイン、和室、ミニキッチンやランドリーを備えたトリプルファミリールーム、温泉内風呂付きなどの選択肢がありますが、設備は客室タイプごとに異なります。全室から宍道湖が見えるわけではありません。さらに別館では2026年8月17日～2027年3月22日予定の外壁工事が行われ、足場とシートにより客室・宴会場・温泉浴場から景色を見られないと告知されています。眺望付きという通常の紹介だけで判断せず、予約する棟と工事の影響を確かめてください。

入口とフロントは工事中の案内を確認

別館フロントロビー工事は2026年9月9日～2027年1月22日の予定です。告知では9月14日～12月初旬は西側入口を利用し、正面玄関は使えません。仮設フロントとアメニティは9月14日～1月中旬に別館2階へ移り、本館利用者向けのアメニティーバーは本館エレベーターホールに設けられます。作業は通常9:00～17:00で工事音が発生する場合があります。変更予定を含むため、到着前に最新案内を確認し、現地の誘導に従ってください。本館は2026年10月27日13:00～15:00、受水槽・高架水槽のメンテナンスで断水予定で、トイレも利用できません。別館工事とは別の本館の一時的な制限です。利用する棟と当日の案内を確認してください。

天然温泉と日帰り料金を分ける

温泉は松江しんじ湖温泉を引く男女別大浴場で、宿泊者は浴場の利用料が無料です。温泉専用ページでは6:00～10:00・12:00～24:00、最終受付23:30と案内する一方、FAQは夜23:30まで・最終受付23:00と異なります。遅い時間の利用は当日の案内を確認してください。日帰りは大人1,100円、小人600円（税込）。小人は親同伴の0～12歳が対象で、中学生以上は大人料金です。フロントで受付とカードの受け取りが必要です。サウナはなく、工事中の浴場からの眺望制限もあります。

9階の朝食は終了時刻を確認

本館9階のスカイビューキャンドルでは、しじみの味噌汁や出雲そばなどを取り入れた和洋朝食ビュッフェを用意しています。開始は6:15です。レストラン専用ページは9:15まで・料理提供終了9:00、FAQは9:00まで・ラストオーダー8:45と表記が異なるため、遅い朝食を予定する場合は前日に確認しましょう。朝食付きか素泊まりかも予約プランで確認します。レストランの湖の眺めと、工事中の別館客室の眺望は別に考えてください。

駐車料金と工事期間の車種制限

普通乗用車は1台1泊800円、バイクは1泊550円です。通常のアクセス案内と異なり、最新の工事告知ではトラックは駐車不可、バイクは屋根のない青空駐車のみとなっています。工事車両の搬入時などは正面駐車場の出入りや利用に制限が生じる場合もあります。予約時に駐車場を利用する旨を伝え、駐車位置は到着時にフロントへ確認してください。鉄道利用なら松江しんじ湖温泉駅から徒歩約7分を目安にし、JR松江駅からは市役所前に向かうバスを確認できます。

客室時間と二つの税を確認

通常のチェックインは15:00、チェックアウトは10:00で、プランによって異なります。到着が予定より遅れる場合は連絡してください。松江市の宿泊税は、1人1泊の素泊まり・税抜き宿泊料金が5,000円以上の場合200円、5,000円未満は課税されません。入湯税は宿泊して温泉に入る人に1人1日150円（1泊を1日として計算）で、12歳に達する日以後の最初の3月31日までの子ども（小学生以下）や日帰り入浴などは免除されます。二つの税は別制度です。予約料金への含まれ方と現地精算の内訳を確かめてください。

Choose the building and view carefully

Options include twins, Japanese-style rooms, triple family accommodation with a kitchenette and laundry, and rooms with an indoor hot-spring bath; equipment depends on the type booked. A lake view is not available from every room. Annex facade works are planned for August 17, 2026–March 22, 2027, with scaffolding and sheeting blocking views from annex rooms, banquet areas and the bathhouse. Check the booked building and construction impact rather than relying on the usual view descriptions.

Check the temporary entrance and reception

Annex lobby works are scheduled for September 9, 2026–January 22, 2027. The notice directs guests to the west entrance from September 14 until early December, while the main entrance is unavailable. Temporary reception and amenities move to the annex’s second floor from September 14 until mid-January, with an amenity bar for main-building guests in that building’s elevator hall. Work normally runs 09:00–17:00 and may be noisy. Dates may change, so check the latest arrival instructions and follow staff directions. The main building is scheduled to lose its water supply, including toilet use, from 13:00 to 15:00 on October 27, 2026 for tank maintenance. This temporary main-building restriction is separate from the annex works. Check the building you will use and the day’s arrangements.

Distinguish guest bathing from day use

Separate men’s and women’s baths use Matsue Shinjiko Onsen water, with no bathhouse admission fee for overnight guests. The dedicated bath page lists 06:00–10:00 and 12:00–24:00, last admission 23:30, while the FAQ gives an earlier evening finish of 23:30 and last admission of 23:00. Confirm the day’s closing time before a late bath. Day admission including tax is ¥1,100 for adults and ¥600 for children aged 0–12 accompanied by a parent; junior-high-school students and older pay the adult rate. Register and obtain a security card at reception. There is no sauna, and construction also blocks bathhouse views.

Check breakfast finishing times on the ninth floor

Sky View Candle on the main building’s ninth floor serves a Japanese/Western breakfast buffet incorporating dishes such as shijimi clam soup and Izumo soba. Service begins at 06:15. The restaurant page gives a 09:15 finish with food service ending at 09:00; the FAQ instead gives 09:00 and last order 08:45. Confirm the evening before if you plan a late breakfast, and check whether it is included in your booking. The restaurant’s lake setting is separate from the restricted views in annex rooms.

Parking charges and construction restrictions

Parking is ¥800 per ordinary car per night and ¥550 per motorcycle per night. The current works notice overrides normal vehicle guidance: trucks cannot park and motorcycles have uncovered spaces only. Construction deliveries may also restrict access to, or use of, the front parking area. Tell the hotel when booking that you will need parking, and ask reception for parking directions on arrival. For rail arrivals, allow about seven minutes on foot from Matsue Shinjiko Onsen Station, or check buses from JR Matsue Station to the city-hall stop.

Room times and the two local taxes

Usual check-in is 15:00 and checkout is 10:00, subject to the booked plan. Contact the hotel if you will arrive later than expected. Matsue City charges accommodation tax of ¥200 per person per night when the room-only rate before tax is at least ¥5,000; lower rates are untaxed. A separate hot-spring bathing tax is ¥150 per overnight bather per day, with one night counted as one day. Children up to and including the first March 31 on or after the date they turn twelve, corresponding to elementary-school age and younger, and day bathers are exempt from bathing tax. Check how each tax is included or collected in your booking.
