Tamatsukuri Grand Hotel Choseikaku is a hot-spring hotel in Matsue City’s Tamatsukuri Onsen district. Its stay combines agate-lined bathing pools, two communal bath areas inspired by mythology and rooms overlooking a Japanese garden. めのう風呂と神話の二つの浴場

神話の湯は大蛇から現れた剣を題材にした意匠、女神の湯は天岩戸を題材にした浴槽が特徴で、内湯や露天風呂を備えています。利用はチェックインから24:00までと翌朝5:00～10:00で、深夜の清掃中に男女を入れ替えるため、夕方と朝で異なる浴場を楽しめます。予約制の家族風呂は宿泊者のみ、1回45分1,650円（税込）です。泉質は館の自家源泉を混ぜた単純温泉と案内され、玉造温泉全体の一般的な泉質説明と同じにしないよう注意してください。

客室の眺めと専用風呂はタイプごとに

庭園を望む12.5畳の和室や和ベッドの客室、21㎡のツイン、和洋室、キッズルーム、ホームシアタールームなどがあります。専用温泉付きの最上階客室や、露天めのう風呂付きの出雲（IZUMO）は該当する客室を予約した人の設備で、全室に付いているわけではありません。布団とベッドの組み合わせ、庭園側かどうか、子ども向け設備の有無を部屋名で確認すると、人数に合うだけでなく過ごし方に合った滞在を選べます。

夕食会場と朝食ビュッフェ

夕食は山陰の旬を取り入れた会席を、通常は食事処八雲で用意します。料亭いずも路の個室を指定する場合は別料金で、室数と席数に限りがあるため事前の相談が必要です。朝食は出雲ダイニング秀峰で和洋ビュッフェ。通常の朝食時間は7:00～9:00、ラストオーダー8:30です。のどぐろやしまね和牛、冬のかになどの別注料理は予約条件や時期が異なり、通常の全プランに含まれるものとして扱わず、予約コースの内容を確かめてください。

駅の迎えは2日前までに連絡

JR玉造温泉駅からの無料送迎は14:00～19:00で、迎えを希望する場合は宿泊2日前までの連絡が必要です。翌朝の駅への送りは定時便で、チェックイン時にフロントで予約します。車の場合は松江玉造ICが最寄りで、駐車場は施設提供の楽天情報では無料100台・先着順。温泉街の一部区間は15:00～24:00に一方通行となるため、カーナビだけに頼らず案内看板に従ってください。大きな車や到着時の経路に不安がある場合は前もって宿へ相談しましょう。

一部フロア工事と館内イベント

2025年12月11日付の公式告知には、一部フロアの設備工事により通行動線や施設の利用を制限する場合があると記載され、終了日は示されていません。工事が続く範囲や予約客室への影響は宿へ確認してください。過去の大浴場工事は2025年7月7日に完了した別の告知です。ロビーのカレイドスクリーンは2026年8月1日に再開し、通常20:40～20:55の案内があります。一般施設紹介に残る休止文だけで判断せず、当日の実施予定も確認しましょう。

宿泊の時間、日帰りとの区別、税金

通常の客室利用は15:00～翌10:00です。家族風呂は宿泊者用で、日帰りの入浴受付とは別です。日帰り入浴を受け付けないという公式の過去告知が残っているため、立ち寄り利用を前提に訪れず、現在の受付状況を直接確認してください。松江市の宿泊税は、1人1泊の素泊まり・税抜き宿泊料金が5,000円以上の場合200円、5,000円未満は課税されません。入湯税は宿泊して温泉に入る人に1人1日150円（1泊を1日として計算）で、12歳に達する日以後の最初の3月31日までの子ども（小学生以下）や日帰り入浴などは免除されます。二つの税は別制度です。予約料金への含まれ方と現地精算の内訳を確かめてください。

Agate baths and two myth-inspired bathing areas

Shinwa-no-Yu features a design based on the sword discovered in the mythical serpent, while Megami-no-Yu draws on the Ama-no-Iwato story. Both offer indoor and open-air bathing. Hours run from check-in until midnight and 05:00–10:00, with cleaning and a gender swap overnight so guests can try different areas in the evening and morning. A reserved family bath is for overnight guests only and costs ¥1,650 including tax for 45 minutes. The hotel classifies its blended own-source water as a simple hot spring, distinct from general descriptions of Tamatsukuri’s spring water.

Room views and private baths depend on the type

Choices include 12.5-tatami garden-view rooms with futons or beds, a 21 m² twin, Japanese/Western accommodation, children’s rooms and home-theater rooms. Top-floor rooms with a private spring bath and IZUMO with its open-air agate bath are specific room categories, not features of every room. Check the actual futon/bed arrangement, garden outlook and children’s facilities in the selected category rather than choosing solely by guest capacity.

Dinner arrangements and buffet breakfast

Dinner uses seasonal Sanin ingredients and is normally served at Yakumo. Specifying a private room at Izumoji costs extra and requires advance consultation because capacity is limited. Japanese/Western buffet breakfast is served at Izumo Dining Shuho, normally 07:00–09:00 with last order at 08:30. Additions such as nodoguro, Shimane beef and winter crab have their own ordering and seasonal conditions; check the chosen course rather than assuming they are included in every plan.

Request station pickup two days ahead

Free station pickup operates 14:00–19:00 and must be requested at least two days before the stay. Morning return trips to the station run at set times and are booked at reception during check-in. Matsue-Tamatsukuri IC is the nearest expressway interchange; property-supplied Rakuten information lists 100 free first-come parking spaces. Some streets in the spa district become one-way from 15:00 until midnight, so follow local signs instead of relying solely on navigation. Ask in advance about larger vehicles or an uncertain arrival route.

Partial-floor works and evening events

An official notice dated December 11, 2025 says equipment works on some floors may restrict routes or facilities, without stating an end date. Ask which areas remain affected and whether your booked room is involved. Earlier communal-bath works were separately reported complete on July 7, 2025. The lobby Kaleido Screen event resumed on August 1, 2026, with a usual schedule of 20:40–20:55. Check current operations instead of relying on the older suspension text still present in the general facilities page.

Room times, day use and taxes

Usual room use is 15:00–10:00 the following morning. The family bath is for overnight guests and is separate from day admission. Older official notices say bath-only day visits are not accepted; confirm current arrangements directly before planning such a visit. Matsue City charges accommodation tax of ¥200 per person per night when the room-only rate before tax is at least ¥5,000; lower rates are untaxed. A separate hot-spring bathing tax is ¥150 per overnight bather per day, with one night counted as one day. Children up to and including the first March 31 on or after the date they turn twelve, corresponding to elementary-school age and younger, and day bathers are exempt from bathing tax. Check how each tax is included or collected in your booking.
