金目鯛を煮付けや丼で味わう

きんめ丼は2,300円、きんめ天丼・きんめかつ丼・きんめ煮付丼は各2,200円、きんめ煮付定食は2,400円税込です。下田海鮮ランチは海鮮丼、エビと金目鯛のフライ、味噌汁、おしんこ付きで2,000円。煮魚、揚げ物、刺身などから食べ方を選べます。

とんかつとミックスフライの定食

ロースかつ定食は150gで1,690円、ヒレかつ定食150gは1,740円、特大ロースかつ250gは2,420円税込です。エビ、金目鯛、一口かつを合わせるミックスフライ定食は1,880円。とんかつ定食はご飯のお替わりができます。魚料理と肉料理を一緒に選べる構成です。

昼夜の営業と電話予約

昼は11時～15時、夜は17時～20時30分、夜のラストオーダーは20時です。火曜日が定休日。予約は電話で受け付けています。列車の到着時刻や山頂散策の帰りと合わせる場合は、昼夜の間の休み時間を含めて立ち寄れます。

駅前の1階、ロープウェイの隣へ

所在地は東本郷一丁目4-3の1階で、伊豆急下田駅から徒歩約1分、下田ロープウェイ山麓駅の隣です。同じ建物の2階は焼肉店、3～5階はホテルになっています。きんめ屋の入口がある1階へ進み、駅前の食事と寝姿山の観光を組み合わせられます。

下田市内で組み合わせる訪問先

きんめ屋の食事と隣のロープウェイを組み合わせ、下田セントラルホテルへ駅から予約送迎で向かえます。時間貸しの下田とうきゅうは30分200円で最大料金がなく、ロープウェイ専用の無料駐車場とは別です。きんめ屋の昼夜の間の休み時間も含めます。

Kinmeya serves kinmedai, local fish and tonkatsu near the station. The menu combines pork cutlets carried over from its former Tontei name with sashimi, simmered fish and rice bowls. Its location suits a meal before or after a train journey or ropeway ride.

Try kinmedai simmered or over rice

The kinmedai rice bowl costs ¥2,300. Kinmedai tempura, cutlet and simmered-fish bowls each cost ¥2,200, and the simmered-fish set ¥2,400, including tax. The ¥2,000 Shimoda seafood lunch combines a seafood bowl, shrimp and kinmedai fry, miso soup and pickles. Choose from simmered, fried and raw-fish preparations.

Tonkatsu and mixed fried-food sets

The 150-gram pork-loin tonkatsu set costs ¥1,690, the 150-gram fillet set ¥1,740 and the extra-large 250-gram loin set ¥2,420, including tax. A mixed set with shrimp, kinmedai and a bite-size pork cutlet costs ¥1,880. Tonkatsu sets include rice refills, offering a meat option alongside the fish dishes.

Lunch, dinner and telephone bookings

Lunch runs 11:00–15:00 and dinner 17:00–20:30, with evening last orders at 20:00. The restaurant closes on Tuesdays and accepts telephone reservations. Take account of the afternoon break when fitting a meal around a train arrival or a summit walk.

The first-floor restaurant beside the ropeway

The restaurant occupies the first floor at 1-4-3 Higashihongo, about one minute on foot from Izukyu-Shimoda Station and beside the lower ropeway terminal. A barbecue restaurant occupies the second floor and a hotel the third to fifth floors. Head to the first floor for Kinmeya and combine a meal with a visit to Mount Nesugata.

Other stops to combine within Shimoda

Combine Kinmeya with the neighbouring ropeway, then take a reserved station transfer to Shimoda Central Hotel. Times Shimoda Tokyu charges ¥200 per thirty minutes without a cap, separately from the ropeway’s free visitor parking. Allow for the break between Kinmeya lunch and dinner.
