Baraike Park’s shared parking serves the gym, baseball stadium, skateboard facilities and playgrounds. Its 453 ordinary-car spaces offer a 30-minute free period for short visits and a daily cap for longer use. Parking closes overnight and finishes earlier on gym rest days.

453 shared spaces for sports and the park
The parking is at 320 Handajicho, southwest of Kuze Primary School. It is shared by park, gym, baseball and skateboard visitors, with seven accessible bays included in the 453 ordinary-car total. It also serves outings to the playground rather than only organised sports or matches. Pedestrians and children cross the grounds, so follow signs and drive slowly towards a vacant bay. Anyone needing a concession processed at the gym reception should take the parking ticket along rather than leaving it in the vehicle.
The first 30 minutes free and a ¥1,000 daily cap
For ordinary cars, the first 30 minutes are free, up to two hours costs ¥200 and each subsequent hour adds ¥100, subject to a ¥1,000 daily cap. The same area therefore handles short drop-offs and longer training or match visits. Buses cost ¥1,500 per vehicle per day and require an advance telephone arrangement. A vacant parking space does not make the gym courts or baseball ground available without their own booking or admission process. Arrange the sporting activity separately and keep the parking ticket until departure.
Closing at 21:30, or 17:00 on gym rest days
Normal hours are 07:00–21:30, shortened to 17:00 on gym rest days. Parking closes December 29–January 4. The gym has inspection closures about once a month and special closures on October’s first Saturday and Sunday for the danjiri festival. Plan departure around that day’s parking closing time as well as the activity itself. Eligible disability or medical certificate concessions are processed at the gym reception: present the parking ticket together with the qualifying proof for a full exemption.
October 25 congestion and access from Fukai
The Naka Ward Festival takes place at Baraike Park and other venues on October 25, 2026, 10:00–15:30, when parking and neighbouring roads are expected to be congested. Public transport or the event’s free shuttle buses are recommended. For ordinary visits, Fukai Station is about a 20-minute walk away; from Kuze-shogakko-mae bus stop, walk roughly 250 metres southwest. By road, the park lies around 700 metres south along the Hanwa Expressway from Higashihatta No. 3 junction. Allow time for walking from the car to the chosen facility.
More places for a Sakai visit
Combine the port town’s central streets and historic shrines with suburban museums or parks, allowing for meal, hotel and parking hours.
