函館市若松町駐車場は、駅西口と朝市、海沿いの保存船へ向かう際に使える一般駐車場です。短時間の駅利用だけでなく、夜間の時間帯上限を使う駐車も選べます。隣接する別の朝市駐車場とは料金や割引の制度が異なるため、市営の入口を指定して向かいます。

駅西口と海沿いへの移動に使う

若松町13番、JR函館駅西口のすぐ前にあり、一般の車で利用できます。52台のうち1台は障がい者等用区画です。駅から海側へ向かう行程に組み合わせやすく、朝市での食事や摩周丸見学の前後にも使えます。同じ駅周辺でも中央口側の駅前広場駐車場とは別の施設です。集合する出口や荷物の受け渡し場所を決め、駅構内をどちらへ出るかを同行者とそろえておくと送迎を進めやすくなります。

最初の1時間300円、夜間は700円上限

通常は入庫から1時間まで300円、以後30分までごとに150円です。夜間は21時～翌7時の時間帯で最大700円となります。上限はこの夜間帯に対するもので、昼間まで含む24時間定額ではありません。夕方に入庫して翌朝出庫する場合は、夜間帯の前後に利用する時間も考えて予定を立てられます。2026年6月1日からの現行料金なので、旧料金を前提にした長時間の駐車計画を避けられます。

摩周丸などの入館は2時間無料の認証対象

青函連絡船記念館摩周丸、はこだてみらい館、はこだてキッズプラザの利用者は、対象施設の認証機で手続きすると最初の2時間まで無料で、超過は30分までごと100円です。摩周丸では受付に駐車券を提示します。駅で買い物するだけでは同じ認証条件にはならず、朝市加盟店の買い物割引とも別制度です。駐車券を持って入館し、見学後に車へ戻る前に認証を受けます。

長さ5メートル・幅1.9メートルまで

車両は長さ5メートル・幅1.9メートルまでで、二輪自動車は利用できません。入出庫は24時間、休業日はありません。駅前の短い停車と違い、車を離れて観光する時間も含めて駐車区画を利用できます。朝市駅前駐車場やほかの民間駐車場が近くにあるので、入口表示で「函館市若松町駐車場」を確認します。夜間利用でも、駅や見学先の営業時間は駐車場と別である点を踏まえて、徒歩の行き先を選べます。

函館市で合わせて訪れる施設

Hakodate Wakamatsu-cho Parking serves the west station exit, morning-market area and ferry museum waterfront. It offers general short-stay parking and a defined overnight time-band cap. Nearby market-operated parking has different tariffs and discount arrangements, so identify the municipal entrance when choosing the destination.

Use the west-exit and waterfront location

This general-use municipal lot is immediately outside JR Hakodate’s west exit at Wakamatsu-cho 13. It has fifty-two spaces, including one priority space. The location suits journeys towards the market and waterfront before or after a meal or Mashumaru visit. It is separate from Station Square Parking at the central exit. Agree on the station exit and luggage meeting point in advance when collecting companions, avoiding confusion between the two nearby parking facilities.

Use the general rate and overnight time band

The general charge is ¥300 up to one hour after entry, followed by ¥150 per thirty minutes. A ¥700 cap covers the 21:00–07:00 night band; it is not a twenty-four-hour flat rate extending across daytime hours. If arriving in the evening and leaving the following morning, account for time on either side of that band as well. These are the current charges following the June 1, 2026 change, rather than older first-hour and night-cap rates.

Validate qualifying attraction visits

Mashumaru, Hakodate Miraikan and Kids Plaza Hakodate visitors can validate the parking ticket for two hours free, then ¥100 per further thirty minutes. At Mashumaru, show the ticket at reception. Ordinary station shopping does not qualify, and the arrangement is separate from market-association purchase discounts. Carry the ticket into the attraction and have it validated before returning to the vehicle, rather than expecting a receipt from a nearby shop to trigger the municipal offer.

Check dimensions and identify the municipal entrance

Cars must be no longer than five metres and no wider than 1.9 metres; motorcycles are not permitted. Access is twenty-four hours with no closing day. This allows leaving the vehicle for a visit rather than relying on a brief roadside stop. Several market and private lots are nearby, so check the municipal Wakamatsu-cho name at the entrance. For night use, remember that station facilities and attractions have their own operating hours, separate from parking access.
