Senbonhama Park’s parking area provides a base for walking among the pines and beside the sea close to the urban centre. It is free, but its 06:00–21:00 hours do not support an unrestricted overnight-parking plan. There are 110 marked ordinary-car spaces, with one-way entry and exit. Use it for a short stroll or a longer visit following literary monuments and coastal views.

Eligible spaces and opening hours
The city lists 110 spaces marked for ordinary cars. This is not a coach facility with dedicated large-bus bays; it primarily serves drivers arriving by car for the coast. Parking is free from 06:00 to 21:00, fitting morning walks and evening views, provided the car is retrieved within that period. Spaces cannot be reserved, so a family or group travelling in several vehicles cannot secure adjacent bays in advance. Match the visit to the available ordinary-car spaces and posted hours.
One-way entry and exit
The entry and exit routes are one-way and must not be used in reverse. On a first visit, navigate to the park’s parking area and follow the signs rather than approaching against the designated direction. Maintenance work can make some or all spaces unavailable. Leave enough time for both the park walk and the return to the car. The free tariff and the access arrangement are separate features: free parking does not mean entry or departure is allowed from any direction or at any hour.
Pines, literary monuments and the seawall
The park provides pine-shaded paths, poetry and literary monuments, benches and toilets. The children’s area on the east has play equipment and spring cherry trees. A stepped seawall between park and coast offers views of Suruga Bay and, in suitable weather, Mount Fuji. Even a short visit can include both pine grove and waterfront. The beach seaward of the top of the wall is outside the park boundary, so distinguish the managed park spaces from the coast when deciding where to walk or spend time.
The 2026 beach status and surrounding route
Senbonhama is not operated as a designated bathing beach in the 2026 season, and lifeguard supervision is absent. An available car park therefore should not be read as a supervised swimming operation; the visit can instead focus on the pines and coastal outlook. Driving from Numazu or Nagaizumi-Numazu Interchange takes around 20 minutes. Buses from Numazu Station take roughly ten minutes to Senbonhama Koen or Senbon-iriguchi. Combine nearby literary museums or a port meal by allowing separate time for driving and the park walk.
