古道歩きの途中に泊まる近露の宿
近露王子の近く、日置川の前に建つ民宿です。客室にテレビを置かず、歩いた後は食事や温泉、翌日の準備に時間を使えます。フェイスタオル、バスタオル、浴衣、歯ブラシがあり、洗濯機と乾燥機も備えます。古道を数日に分けて歩く場合は、洗濯する時間を含めて夕方の到着を予定できます。宿のチェックインは15～18時、チェックアウトは翌9時で、夜遅く到着する日程には合いません。
人数別の二食付き料金と持ち歩く昼食
二名一室・一泊二食付きは一人税込15,500円、一名一室は税込17,700円です。夕食は和食で、朝食は二名一室プランが洋食、一名一室プランが和食の設定。料理は海や山の地元食材を使い、手作りで用意します。食堂は夕18～20時、朝6時30分～7時30分の営業です。歩く日にサンドイッチを加える場合は税込800円。人数別の予約内容で食事と客室を押さえ、朝食後に出発できます。
ひすいの湯の入浴時間と利用範囲
隣接するひすいの湯は男女別の大浴場で、ナトリウム・炭酸水素塩・塩化物冷鉱泉を使います。宿泊者の入浴時間は15時30分～20時。時間外に使えるのは本館のシャワー室のみです。朝の大浴場入浴や、立ち寄りの日帰り入浴はできません。到着後に入浴し、18時からの夕食へ進むなど、湯の時間と食堂の時間を合わせると滞在を組みやすくなります。川の景色を近くに感じながら、古道歩きの合間に過ごせます。
バス停からの到着と予約の扱い
紀伊田辺駅から龍神バスで約70分、本宮方面から約50分、近露王子バス停で降りて徒歩約2分です。車は南紀田辺ICから国道311号経由で約50分、本宮から約20分、駐車は20台分です。カード払いに対応。キャンセル料は七日前30％、前日50％、当日100％で、悪天候などによる自己都合の取消しも対象になります。古道歩きの到着区間とバスの利用を決め、18時までに宿へ着く行程を用意できます。
田辺市内で組み合わせる訪問先
田辺市は海辺の市街地から、龍神、中辺路、大塔、本宮の山間部へ広がります。食事の注文締切や宿の到着時間を決め、道路の移動と古道の徒歩を含めた時間で訪問先を組み合わせられます。駐車場は立ち寄る施設や地域の条件に合わせて選べます。
Minshuku Chikatsuyu is a small inn near Chikatsuyu-oji, with access to the Nakahechi section of the Kumano Kodo. The Hiki River runs in front, while dinner, breakfast and an adjacent mineral-spring bath support a stop during a walking journey. Departure by 09:00 suits a morning start on the next day’s route.

A Chikatsuyu stop along the walking route
The inn stands by the Hiki River near Chikatsuyu-oji. Rooms have no television, leaving time after walking for meals, bathing and preparing the next stage. Face and bath towels, yukata and toothbrushes are supplied, with a washing machine and dryer available. A multi-day walker can therefore allow time for laundry during the afternoon stop. Check-in runs 15:00–18:00 and departure is by 09:00 the next morning, so this accommodation calls for an afternoon rather than late-night arrival.
Dinner-and-breakfast prices and a walking lunch
A dinner-and-breakfast stay costs ¥15,500 per person sharing a room for two, or ¥17,700 for one person in a room, including tax. Dinner is Japanese; the two-person plan specifies Western breakfast while the single-occupancy plan specifies Japanese breakfast. Handmade meals draw on local mountain and sea ingredients. Dining-room hours are 18:00–20:00 and 06:30–07:30. Sandwiches for a walking day add ¥800 including tax. Book the occupancy and meal arrangement that fits the party, then leave after the early breakfast.
Hisui-no-Yu hours and who can bathe
Adjacent Hisui-no-Yu has separate men’s and women’s communal baths using sodium-bicarbonate/chloride cold mineral-spring water. Staying guests can bathe 15:30–20:00. Outside that period only the main-building shower room is available: the communal bath is not open for morning bathing or visits by day bathers. One option is to bathe after arrival and then have dinner from 18:00. Align the bath and dining-room hours to make the most of the overnight stop beside the river during a Kumano Kodo journey.
Bus access and reservation conditions
Ryujin Bus journeys are published as approximately seventy minutes from Kii-Tanabe Station or fifty minutes from Hongu, followed by a two-minute walk from Chikatsuyu-oji bus stop. Driving takes around fifty minutes from Nanki-Tanabe Interchange via Route 311, or twenty minutes from Hongu; twenty parking spaces are available. Card payment is accepted. Cancellation charges are thirty percent seven days before, fifty percent the day before and one hundred percent on the day, including customer cancellations for bad weather. Plan the walking stage and bus connection around arrival by 18:00.
Other stops to combine within Tanabe
Tanabe extends from its coastal centre into the mountain districts of Ryujin, Nakahechi, Oto and Hongu. Fit the next stop around meal-order deadlines and accommodation arrival, allowing time for both road travel and any walking on the Kumano Kodo. Choose parking according to the facility or district visited and its use conditions.
