中国料理八代飯店は、麦島西町で地元野菜や県南の食材を使った中華料理を提供する店です。テーブルと座敷があり、一人や家族の食事からグループまで利用できます。現在は地震の被害を受けた後の限定メニュー営業で、通常時の料理がすべて揃う形ではありません。

地元の食材を使う中華料理

1967年の創業で、熊本県南や八代の野菜・産物を取り入れた料理を続けています。生産者と関わりながら食材を選び、化学調味料を使わずに調理する方針を掲げる店です。現在は限定メニューの中から選ぶ営業です。自家製クラフトコーラなどのソフトドリンクも紹介され、食事だけの利用にも合わせられます。新八代駅や本町アーケードの中ではなく、球磨川に近い麦島側にあるため、市内を移動する途中の食事先として使えます。

平日と金土で異なる夜の時間

ランチは11時30分～14時30分、注文は14時まで。夕方は17時30分からで、金曜・土曜は21時閉店・20時30分注文終了、日・月・水・木曜の営業日は20時30分閉店・20時注文終了です。2026年11月は4・10・17・18・19・24日が休業日、9・16日の月曜は昼だけ営業します。夜に向かう場合は曜日の終了時間だけでなく、この月の昼のみ営業日も合わせて選べます。土曜と日曜で夜の終了が同じではありません。

テーブル・座敷と子ども向け設備

テーブル席は4人掛けを基本に最大6人の卓が3卓、2人掛けが2卓あります。座敷には最大7人掛けの掘りごたつ式5卓と、畳敷き3卓を用意しています。予約により間仕切りを外し、広い空間として使うこともできます。全席禁煙で、子ども用の椅子、おむつ替え用ベッドのあるトイレもあります。家族やグループで使う場合は、食事の人数に合わせてテーブルと座敷を選べます。現在の支払いは現金のみです。

国道3号沿いの目印と2つの駐車場

麦島西町4-1、国道3号沿いの赤い看板が目印です。駐車場は店前に11台、北側に14台。店前は出入口が1か所で狭く、北側は出入口2か所で、大型バス・マイクロバスは事前予約で利用できます。多数のバイクで訪ねる場合も事前連絡に対応しています。持ち帰りや出前は電話注文なので、店内の食事とは受取方法を分けて選べます。

八代市で合わせて訪れる施設

市街地、日奈久、東陽や泉の移動時間を考えながら、食事・見学・宿泊の予定を組み合わせられます。

Yatsushiro Hanten in Mugishima Nishimachi serves Chinese cooking using local vegetables and ingredients from southern Kumamoto. Tables and tatami seating accommodate individual meals, families and groups. It currently operates a limited menu following earthquake damage, rather than its complete ordinary selection.

Chinese cooking with local ingredients

Established in 1967, the restaurant works with vegetables and produce from Yatsushiro and southern Kumamoto. It selects ingredients through relationships with producers and describes a policy of cooking without chemical seasoning additives. Current service is limited to the reduced menu. Soft drinks including house-made craft cola provide options with a meal. The location is on the Mugishima side near the Kuma River, separate from Shin-Yatsushiro Station and the Honmachi arcade, making it a stop during a journey across the city.

Different dinner closing times

Lunch runs 11:30–14:30 with orders ending at 14:00. Dinner starts at 17:30. Fridays and Saturdays close at 21:00, last order 20:30; operating Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays close at 20:30, last order 20:00. November 2026 closures are the 4th, 10th, 17th, 18th, 19th and 24th. Mondays November 9 and 16 serve lunch only. For dinner, account for the monthly lunch-only exception as well as the weekday schedule: Saturday and Sunday finish at different times.

Tables, tatami seating and children’s facilities

Tables include three normally seating four, expandable to six, and two tables for two. Tatami areas provide five recessed-floor tables for up to seven each and three ordinary tatami tables. With a reservation, partitions can be removed for a larger gathering. The restaurant is entirely non-smoking and has children’s chairs and a toilet with a baby-changing bed. Choose tables or tatami seating according to the party size. Payment is currently cash only.

Route 3 landmark and two parking areas

At 4-1 Mugishima Nishimachi, look for the large red sign on Route 3. Parking provides eleven spaces in front and fourteen to the north. The front has one narrow entrance; the northern area has two entrances and can accommodate coaches or minibuses by advance reservation. Groups arriving on motorcycles can also arrange space beforehand. Takeaway and delivery orders are handled by telephone, separately from eating in the restaurant.
