Location and capacity

Matsue Castle Otemae Parking is a municipal car park beside Shiroyama Park. It has 67 car spaces and operates 24 hours a day, year-round. Buses may pick up and drop off passengers from 08:00 to 17:00 but cannot park. Other options for nearby sightseeing include Jozan Nishi Parking and Omotenashi car parks that may open on weekends and public holidays.

Daytime charges and attraction discount

From 08:00 to 19:00, parking costs ¥500 for under one hour, ¥700 for one to under two hours, then ¥100 per additional 30 minutes. The general daytime cap is ¥1,000 in December–February. Ticket validation at eligible attractions gives an ¥800 cap for 08:00–19:00.

Nighttime charges

From 19:00 to 08:00, parking costs ¥50 for under 30 minutes, ¥100 from 30 minutes, then an additional ¥50 per 30 minutes, up to ¥600.

Payment and ticket validation

Payment is cash only, accepting ¥1,000 notes and ¥500, ¥100, ¥50 and ¥10 coins. No change service is available. Attraction discounts require parking-ticket validation at an eligible site such as Matsue Castle.
