普通車83台のうち障がい者用二台を含み、大型車は12台です。休憩用の駐車場とトイレは24時間無料で、物産店や食事処の開店前後にも道路移動の休憩ができます。買物客と車で休む人が共用する施設なので、休憩のための区画を使う立ち寄りとして計画します。住所は大宮4625で、駅前にある温泉施設の有料駐車場とは別です。
無料給水と店舗は時間が異なる
本体の売店は9時30分～17時30分で、秩父そばや地域の食品、土産などを販売します。無料の飲水施設ちちぶの水は、通常7～19時、冬季は凍結に合わせ8～17時です。水を持ち帰ることもできますが、夜間いつでも使える給水所ではありません。駐車場の24時間利用と店内の買物、給水を分けることで、朝の移動と帰りの立ち寄りを選べます。
食事処の締切とサイクリングの制限
そばの昌楽は平日10～16時15分、土日祝16時30分まで、秩父食堂は11時～LO16時30分です。売店の小昼飯本舗は10～15時で、各店の時間は駐車場と同じではありません。自転車用スタンドと空気入れがありますが、車を駐車したままサイクリングへ出かける利用は遠慮する案内です。車と自転車を乗り換える無料の長時間拠点として使うことはできません。
休憩と買物を街の移動に組み込む
所在地は国道140号沿いの大宮4625で、道の駅あらかわへ車約20分、龍勢会館方面へ約30分です。中心部から吉田や荒川へ移動する前後に、土産や飲水の補充と休憩をまとめられます。道の駅の公共駐車区画は休憩が基本で、仮眠は宿泊施設を予約する滞在とは別の利用です。移動先の宿に到着する時刻や食事の注文締切と合わせ、必要な休憩時間を取れます。
秩父市内で組み合わせる訪問先
市街の見学、吉田・荒川の立ち寄り、大滝や三峰の山道では移動に必要な時間が異なります。食事の注文締切と宿への到着時間を合わせ、関連する施設へ車や鉄道で続く行程を組めます。駐車場はそれぞれの施設・地域での利用条件に合わせて選べます。
Michi-no-Eki Chichibu provides a rest and shopping stop beside Route 140 in the city centre. Separate vehicle categories support cars and larger vehicles, with local food, souvenirs and drinking water during their respective hours. Its free rest parking has limits on leaving a vehicle for other activities, so plan it as a stop involving the roadside station itself.

A roadside break within central Chichibu
The 83 car spaces include two accessible spaces, with twelve further spaces for large vehicles. Rest parking and toilets are free twenty-four hours a day, allowing a driving break outside shop and restaurant hours. Shopping visitors and resting road users share the site, so use it as a roadside stop. The address is 4625 Omiya, distinct from the paid parking associated with the hot-spring complex at Seibu-Chichibu Station.
Water collection and shopping have separate hours
The main shop opens 09:30–17:30 for regional food, soba products and souvenirs. Chichibu no Mizu offers free drinking water, including collection to take away, normally 07:00–19:00 or 08:00–17:00 during winter freezing conditions. It is not an all-night water point. Distinguish around-the-clock rest parking from shopping and water access when choosing between a morning travel break and a return visit later in the day.
Meal deadlines and the cycling restriction
Shoraku soba opens 10:00–16:15 weekdays or until 16:30 weekends/holidays; Chichibu Shokudo takes orders from 11:00 until 16:30. Kojuhan Honpo operates 10:00–15:00. These businesses do not share the parking area’s hours. Bicycle stands and a pump are available, but the operator prohibits leaving a parked car to go cycling. The site therefore cannot serve as a free long-stay transfer point between car and bicycle.
Combine a station stop with travel through town
From 4625 Omiya on Route 140, driving takes roughly twenty minutes to Michi-no-Eki Arakawa or thirty towards Ryusei Kaikan. A stop can combine rest, water and souvenirs before or after travel from the centre into Yoshida or Arakawa. Public roadside-station parking is primarily for rest; a short nap differs from an accommodation stay. Fit the break around the next meal’s ordering deadline or the planned arrival time at a booked lodging.
Other stops to combine within Chichibu
Central sightseeing, stops in Yoshida or Arakawa, and mountain roads towards Otaki or Mitsumine require different travel times.
