荒川日野の道路休憩スペース
普通車50台、大型車五台の区画を備えています。道路利用の休憩駐車とトイレは24時間無料で、日中の農産物販売とは時間を分けて利用できます。住所は荒川日野538-1です。荒川上田野の店舗や白久の宿とは所在地が異なるので、地域名だけでなく番地まで合わせて向かえます。買物と短い休憩をまとめ、次の目的地へ移動する車の立ち寄りに向いています。
冬は一時間早く閉まる売店
売店は3～11月9～17時、12～2月は9～16時です。地元の農家が育てた野菜や果物、そばのかりんとうやまんじゅう、行者にんにくの加工品などを販売します。駐車ができる早朝や夕方でも買物ができるとは限りません。冬に大滝方面から戻る行程では、16時の閉店が基準になります。生鮮品を買う利用と、トイレや運転休憩だけの利用を選べます。
普通充電休止と隣接施設
普通充電器は入替工事に伴う利用休止中で、ここでの充電を前提にした行程は組めません。隣には山里自然館があり、自然体験や工作などの活動を行う施設です。レストラン鈴ひろ庵では、行者にんにくやきのこの麺類、季節の果物を使うソフトクリームなどを扱います。これらは24時間営業の施設ではなく、駐車・トイレと同じ時間帯で利用するものではありません。
清雲寺や浦山、大滝方面へ続く
清雲寺へ車約5分、ちちぶ花見の里へ約10分、橋立鍾乳洞や浦山ダム方面へ約15分の位置です。道の駅大滝温泉へは車約20分で、さらに山側へ向かう前の休憩にもなります。駐車場は道路を走る人の休憩施設で、仮眠は可能でも宿泊場所の代わりとして長く占有する利用とは異なります。荒川の食事処、予約した宿、次の展示施設の時刻と合わせて移動できます。
秩父市内で組み合わせる訪問先
市街の見学、吉田・荒川の立ち寄り、大滝や三峰の山道では移動に必要な時間が異なります。食事の注文締切と宿への到着時間を合わせ、関連する施設へ車や鉄道で続く行程を組めます。駐車場はそれぞれの施設・地域での利用条件に合わせて選べます。
Michi-no-Eki Arakawa provides a break when travelling through the rural Arakawa area towards soba restaurants or Otaki. A produce shop and food facilities allow a rest to include regional purchases. Seasonal shop closing and the suspended standard EV charger matter when choosing the purpose of the stop, separately from the parking area’s role as a round-the-clock rest facility.

A road-rest space in Arakawa-Hino
The site provides fifty car spaces and five for larger vehicles. Rest parking and toilets are free twenty-four hours, separately from daytime produce sales. Its address is 538-1 Arakawa-Hino, different from restaurants in Arakawa-Kamitano or inns in Shiroku. Use the full destination rather than the district name alone. The stop works for combining purchases with a driving break before continuing to the next place on the itinerary.
The shop closes an hour earlier in winter
The shop opens 09:00–17:00 March–November and 09:00–16:00 December–February. Produce from local growers sits alongside soba snacks, manjū and preserved gyoja garlic. Early or late parking access does not imply an open shop. A winter return journey from the Otaki direction therefore needs to take the 16:00 shop finish into account. Choose between buying regional food and stopping solely for toilets or a driving rest.
The suspended charger and adjoining facilities
The standard EV charger is suspended for replacement work, so the journey cannot depend on charging here. Adjoining Yamasato Shizenkan provides nature and craft activities. Suzuhirōan restaurant offers dishes such as garlic- or mushroom-based noodles and soft-serve with seasonal fruit. These facilities do not operate around the clock; their availability is separate from continuous access to the rest parking and toilets, which can still support a shorter roadside break.
Continue towards Seiunji, Urayama or Otaki
Drive roughly five minutes to Seiunji, ten to Chichibu Hanami no Sato, or fifteen towards Hashidate Cave and Urayama Dam. Michi-no-Eki Otaki Onsen is about twenty minutes away, making this a possible break before continuing deeper into the mountains. Rest parking supports road users and short naps rather than occupying a space as accommodation. Fit the stop around an Arakawa restaurant, a reserved lodging or the opening hours of the next exhibition facility.
Other stops to combine within Chichibu
Central sightseeing, stops in Yoshida or Arakawa, and mountain roads towards Otaki or Mitsumine require different travel times. Fit meal-order deadlines and accommodation arrival around the next stop by car or railway. Choose related parking according to its own facility or area and the applicable use conditions.
