北側から水濠と広場へ入る
北口駐車場は本丸町側、小竹薮広場の北にあり、市役所方向のエレベーター付近を下りた場所です。車を置いて広場や橋へ進み、水濠を囲む園地を歩けます。公園は約21万㎡で、訪ねる場所によって歩く距離が変わります。短い水辺の散策と、本丸や園内施設まで回る行程を選べます。
終日無料と障がい者用の区画
運営者の駐車案内では終日開放・無料で、障がい者専用の区画があります。長い期間の駐車はできず、公園を訪ねる利用が基本です。隣接する市役所の職員駐車場は、土日祝の公園利用に別途案内される区画です。北口駐車場そのものの終日開放と、周囲の別区画の利用日を分けて使えます。
シェアサイクルで市街地へ動く
北口にはHELLO CYCLINGの拠点があります。アプリの会員登録をして解錠し、利用可能な拠点へ返す方式です。市の案内料金は30分300円、以後15分150円、12時間まで2,000円で、現金は使えません。高岡御車山会館や金屋緑地公園などにも拠点があり、徒歩とは違う距離の街歩きを組めます。
公園の散策と屋内施設の時間
園内には博物館、動物園や神社があり、屋内の見学はそれぞれの営業日に合わせます。無料駐車場が終日開くことと、建物の入館時間は異なります。濠での釣りは禁止、犬の散歩はリードが必要です。車へ戻る場所を北口に決め、水辺と広場を巡る行程にできます。
高岡市内で組み合わせる訪問先
高岡古城公園と大仏周辺は徒歩で巡りやすく、大佛旅館を拠点にする行程も組めます。駅前の次元は公園とは別の場所で、北口Pからは市街地を歩く時間を取ります。日曜のラーメン店は18時終了、旅館は夕食時間と23時の門限があり、昼の公園散策から夜の帰館まで予定を合わせられます。
Kojo Park’s North lot is an arrival point for walking among castle moats and trees. Enter from the City Hall side and continue to lawns and bridges. An app-based shared-cycle station also supports city travel; plan the walk and return around any indoor visits.

Entering the moats and lawns from the north
The North lot lies on the Honmaru-machi side, north of Odakeyabu lawn and below the elevator towards City Hall. Leave the car and continue to lawns, bridges and moat-side grounds. The park covers roughly 210,000 square metres, so distances depend on the chosen stops. Select a short waterside walk or a wider route to the main enclosure and facilities.
Free day-long access and accessible spaces
The operator lists the North lot as free and open throughout the day, with dedicated accessible spaces. Long-term stays are unavailable; it serves park visits. Adjacent City Hall staff parking is separately designated for weekend/holiday park use. Its conditions differ from the North lot’s day-long opening.
Shared cycles for city travel
North parking hosts a HELLO CYCLING station. Register in the app, unlock a bicycle and return it to an available station. The city lists ¥300 for thirty minutes, then ¥150 per fifteen minutes, capped at ¥2,000 through twelve hours; cash is not accepted. Other stations include Mikurumayama Museum and Kanaya Ryokuchi Park, extending the city route beyond walking.
Park walks and indoor opening hours
The park contains a museum, zoo and shrines, each with its own visitor hours. Day-long parking does not extend building admission times. Fishing in the moats is prohibited and dogs need leads. Plan a route through water and lawns with the North lot as the return point.
Other stops to combine within Takaoka
Kojo Park and the Great Buddha area support a walking route based at Daibutsu Ryokan. Jigen is near the station, separate from the park, requiring a city walk from North parking. Sunday ramen service ends at 18:00, and the ryokan has fixed meal times and a 23:00 curfew. Plan from the daytime park visit through the evening return.
