水戸芸術館｜現代美術・音楽・演劇と100mの塔

現代美術ギャラリー、コンサートホール、劇場を備える文化施設。高さ100mの塔には地上86.4mの展望室があります。塔は大人200円、小中学生100円。通常月曜休館、祝日の場合は火曜。

収蔵作品展と休館日

収蔵作品展「再会―17人のアーティストによる伝言」は2026年11月7日～2027年1月31日、10時～18時・入場17時30分までの予定です。一般900円、20名以上700円、高校生以下・70歳以上は無料。通常の月曜休館に加え、11月23日と1月11日は開館し、翌11月24日と1月12日は休館、12月27日～1月4日も年末年始休館です。

塔の展望室と入場料

塔の高さは100m、展望室は地上86.4mです。ガラス張りのエレベーターから内部の構造も見られます。大人200円、小中学生100円。平日9時30分～18時、土日祝は19時までで、悪天候により休止する場合があります。高齢者等の免除には対象地域の居住や証明書などの条件があります。

バス交通と市営駐車場

水戸駅北口4～7番乗り場から泉町1丁目までバス約10分、徒歩約2分です。市営駐車場は地下と東側にあり、地下は7～23時、東側の立体は24時間営業。芸術館利用による駐車料金の免除・割引はありません。

Spaces for music, theatre and contemporary art

Concert Hall ATM, ACM Theatre and the Contemporary Art Gallery host programmes in music, theatre and art. The entrance hall is free to enter. Performances, gallery exhibitions and the tower use separate admission tickets.

Collection exhibition and closures

The collection exhibition “Meet Again: Messages from Seventeen Artists” is scheduled November 7, 2026–January 31, 2027, 10:00–18:00, last entry 17:30. General admission is ¥900, groups of at least 20 ¥700; high school students and younger and ages 70+ enter free. Mondays close except November 23 and January 11, with closure on November 24 and January 12 instead. It also closes December 27–January 4.

Tower observation room and admission

The tower is 100 m tall, with an observation room 86.4 m above ground. A glass lift reveals its internal structure. Admission is ¥200 for adults and ¥100 for elementary/junior-high pupils. Open weekdays 09:30–18:00, weekends and holidays until 19:00; bad weather can suspend operation. Exemptions for older visitors and other eligible groups have residence and proof requirements.

Bus access and municipal parking

About ten minutes by bus from stops 4–7 at Mito Station’s north exit to Izumi-cho 1-Chome, then two minutes on foot. Municipal parking is available below the building, open 07:00–23:00, and in the eastern multistorey, open 24 hours. Art Tower Mito visits provide no parking exemption or discount.
