This coastal park preserves grounds once used by the imperial family, combining palace architecture with gardens shaded by black pines. Choose admission to the grounds alone or a ticket including the interior of the West Annex. Current building work and garden restrictions mean visits concentrate on the areas that remain open.

Inside the West Annex
The original main villa was completed in 1893; the surviving West Annex developed through additions into its present form in 1922. Its single wooden storey contains 26 rooms, linking formal reception areas with spaces used for daily life. Look at the furnishings, the arrangement of corridors and the views into the garden to understand how the building functioned as a residence. The inclusive ticket combines the interior visit with time in the pine-shaded grounds.
Current work and garden access
Seismic strengthening affects part of the West Annex from September 25, 2026, leaving some rooms unavailable; exhibits have been moved into the accessible area. Walks in the East Annex garden are restricted because of potentially falling trees. In open areas, enjoy the pine groves, coastal outlook and Numazu-gaki fence display. The air-raid shelter interior is closed to visitors. Shume café is also closed for maintenance, so arrange refreshments or a meal elsewhere as part of the outing.
Admission and resident reductions
Nonresident adults pay ¥300 for the grounds or ¥600 with the West Annex; elementary and junior-high pupils pay ¥100 or ¥250. With identification, Numazu residents pay ¥100 or ¥400, while local elementary and junior-high pupils enter free. Preschool children are also free. Groups of at least 20 receive reduced rates: ¥200 or ¥400 for nonresident adults. Holders of qualifying disability documentation and one accompanying person receive free admission. Select the ticket according to the areas you plan to see.
