Explore Kurashiki artwork and the manga library
Kurashiki Monogatari Hachiman includes original artwork made after the artist walked, photographed and researched the historic district. Other displays feature Futago no Pink and Hazunde Ribon-chan artwork, period goods and signed boards from manga artists. The staircase gallery includes Mayme Angel reproductions. A second-floor library lets visitors read manga, combining close attention to drawn lines with time spent following the stories themselves.

Standard dress-up accepts visitors aged one and over, individually or in groups, in walk-in order without reservations. Bring a smartphone or camera for self-photography. Dresses cover Japanese sizes 5–25, with child and male costumes also available. Around an hour is a guide rather than an experience time limit, within opening hours. The first dress cannot be tried on or exchanged; a second costs an additional ¥1,000, so choose before changing.
Separate gallery admission from experience packages
Gallery admission is ¥600 for adults, ¥400 junior/high-school and ¥300 children; ages three and under enter free. Adding the ¥1,900 standard experience makes totals ¥2,500/2,300/2,200, or ¥1,900 for the youngest children. A separate advance-priority tea-party package costs ¥3,000 including tax for ages eighteen and over, with applications by 15:00 the previous day. The standard walk-in experience does not accept telephone reservations.
