ゲストハウス錦は、大滝の住宅地で古い旅館二木屋を使う小さな宿です。宿主やほかの旅人と交流したり、部屋で静かに過ごしたり、旅の形に合わせて利用できます。共用設備と家庭料理が中心の宿なので、寝室専用の浴室を備えたホテルとは設備が異なります。大滝方面へ泊まって動く旅の選択肢です。

古い建物の個室と共用スペース
120年以上の建物を生かした宿で、寝室とは別にシャワーとトイレを共用します。館内にはWi-Fiがあり、簡易的な共用キッチンには冷蔵庫、電子レンジ、炊飯器、湯沸かし器や食器類を用意。食べ物や飲み物の持込も可能です。寝間着は用意していないので持参します。夏冬の気温や自然の虫も身近な、古い家で過ごす滞在として選べます。
家庭料理と秩父のお酒を選ぶ
食事付きでは家庭料理の夕食と、ご飯・味噌汁・納豆・卵などの朝食を提供します。苦手な食材やベジタリアンの相談は事前連絡が必要です。公式予約には、秩父のお酒飲み比べと二食付きで二名一泊15,800円から、一人7,900円からの例があります。フルコースやレンタサイクル付きなどは内容と料金が別です。当日予約も可能ですが、夕食は当日10時以降の申し込みでは難しい場合があります。
厳守する到着とシャワーの時間
チェックイン16～21時、アウト10時で、それ以外の時間は受け付けません。シャワーは到着後から22時まで、早朝利用は不可です。朝に使いたい場合は前日に希望時刻を伝えます。温泉はなく、大滝温泉遊湯館は車約5～10分。ペット同伴はできず、電子たばこを含め館内禁煙です。洗濯機は一回100円、洗濯機とガス乾燥機のセットは一回300円で利用できます。
大滝の駐車場所と冬の祭り利用
無料駐車場は宿の約10メートル手前、宿へ向かう側の左手です。反対側の区画は宿の駐車場ではありません。満車時は宿へ連絡する方式です。12月1～3日は秩父夜祭向けの専用プランのみを販売し、朝食付きで夕食はありません。市街の祭りへ行く場合と山側で過ごす場合では移動時間が違うため、厳守する到着時間と予約した食事を軸に旅程を組めます。
秩父市内で組み合わせる訪問先
市街の見学、吉田・荒川の立ち寄り、大滝や三峰の山道では移動に必要な時間が異なります。食事の注文締切と宿への到着時間を合わせ、関連する施設へ車や鉄道で続く行程を組めます。駐車場はそれぞれの施設・地域での利用条件に合わせて選べます。
Guesthouse Nishiki occupies the former Futakiya inn in an Otaki residential area. Guests can join conversation with the host and other travellers or spend quieter time in their room. Shared facilities and home-style meals form the basis of the stay, differing from a hotel with a private bathroom in each bedroom. It provides a small-scale base for spending the night in the Otaki area.

Private bedrooms within an old shared house
The building is more than 120 years old, with showers and toilets shared outside the bedrooms. Wi-Fi and a simple communal kitchen provide a fridge, microwave, rice cooker, kettle and tableware. Guests may bring food and drinks but need their own sleepwear. Seasonal temperatures and insects remain part of this old-house setting, making it a choice for travellers comfortable with a basic shared property rather than expecting fully controlled hotel conditions.
Home-style meals and local-drink plans
Meal plans provide a home-style dinner and breakfast with items such as rice, miso soup, natto and eggs. Discuss disliked ingredients or vegetarian needs ahead of time. The official booking site advertises a two-meal local-drink tasting plan from ¥15,800 for two, or ¥7,900 each. Full-course and bicycle-inclusive plans have different contents and prices. Same-day stays can be booked, but dinner may be difficult to arrange after 10:00 that day.
Observe arrival and shared-shower hours
Check-in is strictly 16:00–21:00 and checkout 10:00, with no reception outside those times. Showers operate from arrival until 22:00; early-morning use is prohibited, and any morning shower time must be arranged the previous day. There is no hot spring; Otaki Onsen Yuyukan is about five to ten minutes away by car. No pets or indoor smoking, including e-cigarettes, are allowed. Washing costs ¥100, or ¥300 for the washer-and-gas-dryer combination.
Parking in Otaki and the winter festival plan
Free parking lies about ten metres before the guesthouse on the left as you approach; the opposite-side spaces do not belong to it. Contact the host if full. December 1–3 is sold only through the dedicated Night Festival plan, which includes breakfast but no dinner. A journey into town for the festival involves different travel from staying in the mountain area, so organise the itinerary around the strict arrival window and the meals actually reserved.
Other stops to combine within Chichibu
Central sightseeing, stops in Yoshida or Arakawa, and mountain roads towards Otaki or Mitsumine require different travel times. Fit meal-order deadlines and accommodation arrival around the next stop by car or railway. Choose related parking according to its own facility or area and the applicable use conditions.
