霧島神宮の駐車場は、車で参拝する際に無料で利用できます。参道の散策と社殿への参拝を組み合わせ、同行者の歩きやすさに合わせて回る拠点になります。

参拝時の駐車料金

普通車500台、バス10台分の無料駐車場です。参拝も無料のため、車を停めて境内を歩く基本の行程では駐車料や入場料はかかりません。お守りや祈願などを希望する場合は、それぞれの費用を別に考えます。

足元と参道の歩き方

駐車場は平面で、施設へ向かう路面はアスファルトです。表参道には約80段の石段があり、境内にも段差や坂があります。階段を上る散策をしたい人と、社殿近くを中心に回りたい人では、歩く経路を分けて考えられます。

授与所を利用する時間

授与所は8～17時です。祈願の専用ページは9時～16時30分、予約不要で当日神楽殿へと案内しています。一方、アクセスページは祈願も8～17時と表示しており、受付時間の案内に差があります。これらは祈願や授与所の受付時間で、駐車場の開閉時刻を示すものではありません。お守りを受ける予定がある場合は、駐車して社殿へ歩く時間も含めて到着時刻を決めます。

温泉や昼食と組み合わせる

霧島神宮を参拝した後は、周辺の黒豚料理店や霧島温泉郷へ車で移動する行程を組めます。昼営業の店へ向かう日は食事の時間を先に決め、参道を歩く時間を割り振ると回りやすくなります。車に戻る際は停めた区画を確認し、歩行者の多い場所ではゆっくり移動します。

Parking for worship

The free car park has room for five hundred cars and ten buses. Shrine admission is also free, so a basic visit involves neither parking nor entry charges. Amulets and requested prayers are separate expenses.

Walking routes and surfaces

This is a surface car park with asphalt access toward the shrine. The main approach includes about eighty steps, and the grounds have slopes and changes in level. Plan a route that matches whether your party wants the stairway walk or a shorter visit near the buildings.

Timing a visit to reception

Amulets are available 08:00–17:00. The dedicated prayer page lists reception 09:00–16:30, with no reservation required and same-day attendance at the Kaguraden. The access page also lists prayers as 08:00–17:00, so the published reception hours differ. These are reception hours for prayers and amulets, rather than car-park opening or closing times. Allow time to park and walk to the shrine when planning to obtain an amulet.

Combine worship with hot springs or lunch

After worship, drive onward to a pork restaurant or the Kirishima hot-spring area. If choosing a lunch-only restaurant, set the meal time first and allow the remaining time for the shrine paths. Note your parking section and move slowly through areas busy with pedestrians.
