客室の館と移動方法を選ぶ

高千穂館・東館・西館の3館で、和室、和洋室、ツイン、シングルなどを選べます。全95室で全室禁煙。西館は浴場や朝食会場に近い一方、移動には階段を使います。階段利用を避けたい場合は、西館以外の客室を含めて館内の移動を考えて選びます。

庭園大浴場の時間と区分

硫黄泉・明礬泉・塩類泉・鉄泉を楽しめる浴場で、男性専用・女性専用・混浴のフリーゾーンに分かれます。宿泊者は5～9時と11～24時に利用できます。20～21時30分はフリーゾーンも女性専用となり、男性は男性専用浴場を利用します。水着の着用はできず、刺青・タトゥーのある方は温浴施設を利用できません。家族風呂・貸切風呂はありません。

日帰り利用と水曜日の制限

日帰り入浴は11～17時で、予約不要です。専用ページの通常料金は大人1,200円、3～12歳600円、年末年始・GW・お盆は大人1,500円、子ども750円で、いずれも税込です。一方、FAQは子どもの区分を3歳～小学生と案内しており、区分に差があります。水曜日はメンテナンスのため、日帰りで使えるのは手前の殿湯・姫湯のみです。フェイスタオルは無料貸し出し、バスタオルは有料。混雑状況によって早く受付が終わる場合があります。

空港から硫黄谷へ

鹿児島空港から車で約30分、敷地内に約100台分の駐車場があり、館内施設の利用時以外や長期間の駐車はできません。最寄りの硫黄谷バス停からは約1分の送迎を利用でき、バス停にある直通電話で依頼します。通常の客室利用は15時～翌10時。到着後に入浴時間を十分取るなら、夕方早めの到着が便利です。

Choose a wing and room style

The Takachiho, East and West wings offer Japanese rooms, combined Japanese-Western rooms, twins and singles. All ninety-five rooms are nonsmoking. The West wing is close to the baths and breakfast venue but requires stairs. Consider the route through the building when choosing a room if stairs are difficult.

Garden-bath hours and zones

The baths offer sulfur, alum, saline and iron springs across men’s, women’s and mixed zones. Guest hours are 05:00–09:00 and 11:00–24:00. From 20:00 to 21:30 the mixed zone is also women-only; men use the men’s bath. Swimsuits are not permitted, and visitors with tattoos cannot use the bathing facilities. There are no family or private-hire baths.

Day visits and Wednesday limitations

Day bathing runs 11:00–17:00 without a reservation. The dedicated page lists regular rates of ¥1,200 for adults and ¥600 for ages three to twelve; New Year, Golden Week and Obon rates are ¥1,500 for adults and ¥750 for children, all including tax. The FAQ instead defines children as age three through elementary school, so the published age categories differ. On Wednesdays, maintenance limits day visitors to Tono-yu and Hime-yu. Face towels are loaned free; bath towels cost extra. Reception may close early when busy.

Reach Iodani from the airport

The hotel is about thirty minutes by car from Kagoshima Airport, with parking for around one hundred vehicles. Parking is restricted to use of the hotel facilities, and long-term parking is not permitted. A one-minute shuttle is available from Iodani bus stop using its direct hotel telephone. Standard room use is 15:00–10:00 the next day. Arriving in the early evening leaves more time for bathing.
