This roadside-station parking area in Nishikawa connects directly with Yunishigawa Onsen railway station. Road information, dining, footbaths and hot springs accompany the rest stop. A rest stop connected to the railway
At 478-1 Nishikawa, the rest stop connects directly with Yunishigawa Onsen Station on Yagan Railway. Listed parking categories are fifty-two small-vehicle spaces, three large-vehicle spaces and three accessible spaces. Break a drive with local information, shopping or food indoors. This location is separate from the Yunishigawa hot-spring village and Mizunosato dining room farther into the valley, so match the destination address.
Parking and toilets versus indoor hours
Rest-stop parking is free, with parking, toilets and the public telephone available around the clock. The telephone is in the waiting room by the bus stop. Other services follow separate hours: shop 9:00–17:00, dining 10:30–15:00 and footbath 9:00–17:00. Use the toilets during a drive, and time arrivals to the relevant service when adding a meal or shopping.
Rapid and ordinary charging
There is one rapid and one ordinary EV charger, charged separately from free parking. Rapid charging costs ¥550 for thirty minutes and ordinary charging ¥100 for ninety minutes. Reception runs 9:00–16:30 for rapid or 9:00–15:30 for ordinary charging, with service ending at 17:00. Overnight access to the lot does not extend charging hours. Coordinate a charging session with a meal or break during the day.
Indoor opening and the bath section
Indoor facilities normally close Tuesdays but open during February, August, October, November and holidays. The bath section separately closes on the third Tuesday in August, October and November, with the next such closure falling on November 17, 2026. Its usual hours are 10:00–20:00, last admission 19:00. A bath visit therefore needs a different schedule from a simple parking break. Around-the-clock parking and toilets are separate from bathing and dining hours.
Other stops to combine within Nikko
Heike-no-Sato, Honke Bankyu and Mizunosato combine mountain history, food and bathing. The station-connected roadside stop is in Nishikawa, separate from the hot-spring village, requiring bus or car travel. Match peak-month dining, the inn’s dinner start and the museum’s seasonal closing time, allowing extra time for winter mountain roads.
