山内を徒歩で巡るための乗用車駐車場
輪王寺の第2駐車場は一般乗用車用で、山内の寺院を徒歩で訪ねる際に使えます。三仏堂、宝物殿や逍遥園、さらに大猷院へ向かう場合も、駐車後に歩く見学です。境内は一つの屋内施設に集約されていないため、拝観する建物を選び、歩く時間を含めて利用できます。車を置く場所と各寺院の受付を分けて考えると、到着後の順番を決めやすくなります。
変動する料金と利用できる車
普通の乗用車は500～1,000円で、時期や混雑により料金が変わります。二輪車と三輪車は利用できず、大きさによっては受け入れられない車種もあります。第1駐車場のバス・マイクロバスの料金や、臨時に乗用車へ開放する条件とは区分が異なります。駐車場は予約を受けていないため、到着時の空きと利用案内に沿って入場します。
11～3月は15時で終わる駐車受付
駐車場の受付は4月1日～10月31日が7時30分～16時、11月1日～3月31日が7時30分～15時です。これは駐車受付の時間で、各拝観施設の開門・閉門とは異なります。輪王寺の個別拝観は閉門30分前まで、2施設セット券はそれより早い受付終了もあります。午後に着く場合は、駐車を受け付ける時刻と訪ねる施設の券売終了をともに満たす行程にできます。
山の天候と行事に合わせて到着
所在地は山内2300、輪王寺の駐車場です。積雪や落葉など場内の状態により営業開始が遅れる場合があり、寺の行事では空きがあっても駐車を受けられない場合があります。山内を歩く見学では、帰りに車へ戻る距離も含めて予定を組めます。鉄道で訪れる同行者とは、東武バス世界遺産めぐりの停留所など、徒歩の到着地点を決めて合流する方法もあります。
日光市内で組み合わせる訪問先
山内の寺社は拝観券ごとに受付終了が異なり、門前町の昼食と合わせるなら先に見学の順序を決められます。神橋周辺の宿から輪王寺へは坂道を含む移動です。第2駐車場の受付時刻、湯波料理の注文時間、ホテルの夕食に合わせ、秋の夜間拝観を加える日も日中の行程と分けて組めます。

Car parking for walks through Sannai
Rinnoji No. 2 is intended for ordinary cars during visits on foot through Sannai. Sanbutsudo, the treasure museum, Shoyoen and Taiyuin are separate destinations reached after parking. Select which buildings to visit and allow walking time between them. The parking reception and the individual temple admission points serve different purposes, so coordinate the order of visits after arriving.
Variable fees and eligible vehicles
Ordinary-car charges vary from ¥500 to ¥1,000 by period and congestion. Two- and three-wheel vehicles are excluded, and some large vehicles cannot be accepted. These terms differ from the first lot’s bus or minibus tariff and occasional opening to cars. Reservations are unavailable, so entry depends on the spaces and arrangements in operation when arriving.
Parking reception ends at 15:00 November–March
Parking reception operates 7:30–16:00 April 1–October 31 and 7:30–15:00 November 1–March 31. These are reception deadlines, distinct from opening or closing of temple buildings. Individual Rinnoji admissions end thirty minutes before closing, while combined-ticket sales can end earlier. For an afternoon arrival, coordinate both parking reception and the ticket deadline of each place visited.
Weather, events and the approach
The lot belongs to Rinnoji at 2300 Sannai. Snow or fallen leaves can delay opening, and temple events may prevent parking even where spaces appear vacant. Allow for the walk back to the car when planning the temple district. Parties arriving separately by rail can agree on a walking meeting point, such as a stop on the Tobu World Heritage sightseeing bus route.
Other stops to combine within Nikko
Admission deadlines vary among the Sannai temples, so choose the order before fitting in a meal on the approach. Travel from accommodation near Shinkyo includes slopes. Coordinate the No. 2 parking reception, yuba meal orders and hotel dinner; selected autumn garden evenings need their own time beyond the daytime visit.
