日光山輪王寺｜三仏堂と大猷院、拝観券の受付時刻と秋の庭園

輪王寺は、三仏堂、大猷院、宝物殿と庭園などを巡る、世界遺産「日光の社寺」の寺院群です。三体の本尊、徳川家光の廟所、池泉回遊式の逍遥園と見どころが分かれ、拝観券と受付終了時刻も異なります。秋は日中の紅葉と、指定日の庭園ライトアップを組み合わせられます。

基本情報

Rinnoji forms part of the Shrines and Temples of Nikko World Heritage site, with Sanbutsudo, Taiyuin, a treasure museum and garden. Its three principal images, Tokugawa Iemitsu’s mausoleum and Shoyoen’s pond garden occupy different areas with distinct tickets and deadlines. Autumn adds selected evening garden visits.

三仏堂と家光の廟所を巡る

766年に勝道上人が四本龍寺を開いた歴史を持ち、日光山の寺院や支院を総称するのが輪王寺です。三仏堂には千手観音、阿弥陀如来、馬頭観音を祀ります。別の大猷院地区は三代将軍徳川家光の廟所で、門や灯籠をたどる見学となります。宝物殿に隣接する逍遥園は、池を回って景色を楽しむ江戸時代の庭園です。

個別券とセット券の選び方

三仏堂は大人400円・小中学生200円、大猷院は550円・250円。2施設の輪王寺券は900円・400円ですが、受付は4～10月14時30分、11～3月13時30分までです。宝物殿・逍遥園は300円・100円。3施設を含む1,000円・500円の券は、電子チケットか三仏堂下札所窓口で扱い、大猷院や宝物殿では販売しません。

秋の展示と指定日の夜間拝観

2026年10月1日～11月24日は宝物殿で「慈眼大師の日光中興」を開催、翌25日は宝物殿・逍遥園が休館です。逍遥園の今後の夜間特別拝観は11月6・7・8日の指定3夜、日中の閉門後～21時、受付20時30分までの予定です。夜間入園は1名500円、保護者同伴の小中学生無料で、日中の拝観とは別です。

季節の閉門時刻と山内への交通

4～10月は8～17時、11～3月は8～16時で、個別拝観の受付は閉門30分前まで。常行堂は9時開門です。駅から世界遺産めぐりバスで勝道上人像前へ、または神橋から徒歩約10分。第2駐車場は普通車用500～1,000円の変動制、二輪・三輪不可で、受付は4～10月16時、11～3月15時までです。

日光市内で組み合わせる訪問先

山内の寺社は拝観券ごとに受付終了が異なり、門前町の昼食と合わせるなら先に見学の順序を決められます。神橋周辺の宿から輪王寺へは坂道を含む移動です。第2駐車場の受付時刻、湯波料理の注文時間、ホテルの夕食に合わせ、秋の夜間拝観を加える日も日中の行程と分けて組めます。

Sanbutsudo and Iemitsu’s mausoleum

Rinnoji traces its history to Shodo Shonin’s foundation of Shihonryuji in 766 and encompasses Nikko’s temple buildings and sub-temples. Sanbutsudo houses Thousand-Armed Kannon, Amida and Horse-Headed Kannon. Taiyuin is the mausoleum of the third Tokugawa shogun, Iemitsu, reached through gates and lanterns. Shoyoen, beside the treasure museum, is an Edo-period garden arranged around a pond.

Individual and combined admissions

Sanbutsudo costs ¥400 for adults and ¥200 for primary/junior-high pupils; Taiyuin costs ¥550/¥250. The combined Rinnoji ticket costs ¥900/¥400, with sales ending at 14:30 April–October or 13:30 November–March. The museum and Shoyoen cost ¥300/¥100. A ¥1,000/¥500 three-facility ticket is sold online or at Sanbutsudo’s lower ticket office, not at Taiyuin or the museum.

Autumn exhibition and specified garden evenings

The treasure museum exhibition on Tenkai and the revival of Nikko runs October 1–November 24, 2026. The treasure museum and Shoyoen are closed November 25. The remaining evening garden visits are planned on November 6, 7 and 8, from daytime closing to 21:00, last entry 20:30. Evening admission is ¥500 per person; primary/junior-high pupils accompanied by a guardian enter free. This is separate from daytime admission.

Seasonal closing and travel to Sannai

Open 8:00–17:00 April–October and 8:00–16:00 November–March, with individual admission ending thirty minutes before closing. Jogyo-do opens at 9:00. Take the World Heritage bus to Shodo Shonin-zo-mae or walk about ten minutes from Shinkyo. The No. 2 car park has variable ¥500–¥1,000 car charges and excludes two- and three-wheel vehicles; parking reception ends at 16:00 April–October or 15:00 November–March.

Other stops to combine within Nikko

Admission deadlines vary among the Sannai temples, so choose the order before fitting in a meal on the approach. Travel from accommodation near Shinkyo includes slopes. Coordinate the No. 2 parking reception, yuba meal orders and hotel dinner; selected autumn garden evenings need their own time beyond the daytime visit.
